^ Peleides Blue Morpho. There is one in my photo with its wings closed, and you can see a large dot on it that looks like an eye. I was a bit annoyed that the butterflies I photographed kept their wings closed while feeding, but I guess it was too crowded for them to open them.

Lars, I had the same thing when I saw them in CR. Every time I went to take a shot, they'd close and be brown instead of open and that brilliant blue.
