Still waiting for cpap machine

It's been 5-6 weeks since the order was given to the local medical supply company. At about a month out I called them to see what was going on with it and was told they were waiting for my insurance company to approve it. A week later I called my insurance company who told me they had nothing from that company and they would call them to tell them there was no authorization needed from them. They said insurance covered 70% and I would pay 30%. That was last Friday and while on the phone with them they called the medical supply company who wouldn't answer the phone, went straight to voice mail. They told me they would try again this week and let me know.

So, after I got off the phone with the insurance company I tried to call the medical supply company myself. I got the same message. I checked to make sure they were opened and they were, so I drove over there. The woman at the front desk gave me another number to call, the department (Convacare) that actually contacts insurance companies.

I go home and call them and all they can tell me is that it is in progress. They said they actually have to talk to my insurance company themselves even though there is no preauthorization needed. Fine.

So, today I called the sleep study clinic to cancel the follow up because you have to have the cpap machine for at least 6 weeks.

How much longer would you wait before you called Convacare back?
