1) As mentioned above, attaching window treatments to the window frame itself should be avoided. 2) In your case, this will depend on the type of windows and type of installation that is completed. You may not have many options. This is getting a little techincal, but keep in mind that the jamb extension area of a new window is also different than the face of a replacement window frame. The former is a conventional spot to mount, where the latter should be avoided. 3) Either way, you are only looking for a temporary solution until your new window treatments are installed, so I'd go whichever route is least costly between re-hanging -if possible- and rigging some coverings that are designed for this purpose. In the end, even if the permanent window treatments need to be affixed to the window frame, I would DEFINITELY avoid that for the temporary units.

is privacy an issue? light filtering or darkness? What is the style of this space? Are you done with it or still in progress? woven wood or bamboo blinds for that one wall would look like this you could do the same type on either side of the bed windows. This type of design would look nice in your room. the bed, the rugs, the light (instead of the fan) some nightstands, Or, what about something like this? (imagine your windows where the picture is hanging) I like the wood trim work on the one wall and the color. but you could also do black. love the look of this one too I'd leave the windows above the bed as is, and you could do something like this w/the two on the side similar room design ideas w/some window treatment options. roman blinds: wood shades w/drapes: some nice mini blinds or roller shades another option, do drapes on the side windows w/some pull down shades, (drapes pulled from one side only) and if you have the room, you could do some drapes or blinds across the tiny windows regarding the cats, give them a nice cat tree by one of the windows. these are my goofballs or do some cat shelves. I put this cat tree on the side of my tv, above it we made a sturdy shelf, and on the other side of that, an old dresser door bolted to the wall stud, painted and padded w/carpet. they like it! for the blinds, you could get the bamboo or woven woods w/the blackout liner or try something like these cordless cellular honeycomb shades (these are in my sons room. they're Bali and I got therom blinds.com. lots of selections, great customer service) these are black, regular light filtering. they do make a blackout

I would do something simple like Hunter Douglas Duette shades in their opaque fabric with the top-down/bottom-up option. They can be easily inside or outside mounted, depending on space available. Here are mine in my master bathroom. See how I have the top rail lowered to be able to see outside, but rest of the window is covered, but still allows light through. You can have them all open, all closed or partially open like my photo. This is the third house that I have used this type of blinds throughout the house and been very happy with them.

I would 100% recommend going with poly-resin shutters. They're perfect in bathrooms as they are waterproof and durable. Shutters also create a beautiful curb appeal.
