Oh and BTW.... due to chemtrails yeah.... they spray all kinds of metals all over us and our planet. Those who don't believe.... you obviously haven't paid much attention to the skies and YES indeed our government and many other countries admit it and MOST of the proof they provide online admitting to weather modification and the chemicals used they spray. Geesh... even Pres Kennedy spoke about it in one of his speeches they are doing this... THe American military admits it.... there's HARP... in fact if up for lease for 5 million a year RIGHT NOW... it's like so much slam of proof and even Pres O has spoken about it and claiming it real.... some people just won't listen and deny it. It's pretty insane. They list the companies they hire to make the technology... the chemicals they use to spray on us creating cancer and death to us and other species... Yeah, no one here likes to hear it and it does seem "unreal" that there is technology to control the weather... over 90% of it is currently controlled. This includes creating the hurricanes, tornados, lightening storms, rain and droughts, earth quakes etc... Mother Earth is nearly non existent with her weather patterns today. It's been this way for a couple decades... today it's over 90%. In fact they use fake clouds.... they have machines producing on a ground level what appears like clouds... goes up to the sky.... have a look outside... you'll see them. And we see NO help for drought areas... have we? Oh they hesitate not to send 20 tornados to a certain spot. The fracking in a different issue.. don't get me confused with some of the EQ's. Yes EQ's happen and other things... but storms it is controlled now. Research HARP, frequencies etc.... I've known "all" about it for over 20 years now... finally about half of our population is waking up and seeing it and seeing the proof and the documentations etc.... If they have HARP up for lease right now... got to guarantee they created far better technology and it isn't out in the open yet. Military etc is usually 10 years advanced than what run offs we get.... They advanced some years ago making Orgone basically non effective. I use to be followed every single step when I made this... they broke into my place, followed me by car and helicopters... when I made it I ALWAYS got an illegal helicopter visit about 20 feet from my place.... I rented the entire top floor. Always got military on duty to get a job where I would work... it was insane. Why did I spend so many thousands out of my pocket and risk my life??? Because I care about Earth and my health and yours and all species. I would drop off the orgone I made next to cell towers etc... it totally worked... then they would amp it further. While I expressed the few people not to trust... dont' trust the famous ones behind the orgone claims. Its' a strange world.... we all have a soul and love we are able to feel... some people care to destroy it and brain wash us to something that isn't love. Lisa, I say feed the same amount that you have been feeding of canned food. If a large dog gets one can a day, feed the same amount of homemade by weight or cups full. I've made my mini poodle's food for the past several months now. About every other week I cook 3-4 chicken thighs with 1 cup brown rice, add some canned green beans, carrot, broccoli, sweet potato, celery, or canned white beans - whatever I've got on hand. I take the meat off the bones, chop fine and add to the rice and vegetables. I freeze the extra. Andy also gets a doggie vitamin pill each morning. He loves bananas, apples, peaches, melon, little bits of cheese as a treat. I never give him onion, grapes/raisins, or chocolate. Sometimes he has bites of my toast. Linda, come on down to NC - you WILL love it here. I've been here all my life and still think it is a great place to live. The way our numbers are growing, lots of other people think it is the place to be too. Teresa

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a retired show dog and was raised on Orijen and other pricey brands. She was a very picky eater when I got her and had issues with runny stools occasionally. When I was "dog-sitting" a friend's dog, she stole a taste of the food he feeds his dog - Rachel Ray's "Zero Grain" - and gobbled it down. I switched her over to that and the runny poop problem disappeared like magic. She's at a good weight, has the shiniest coat she's ever had, and now begs for her food. I give her 1/2 cup twice a day with a chopped up hard-boiled egg, and some frozen veggies mixed in. (She prefers Bird's Eye California Blend - broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.) She gobbles it up and is healthy, happy and has a glorious coat. Sometimes the premium dog foods have way too much protein in them and give dogs runny stools because they can't tolerate the extra protein. There is no one "best" dog food for all dogs, despite what surveys and well-meaning people say. You have to experiment with different ones and see what works best for your own dog. "Expensive" doesn't always mean the best. What is best for your dog may not be best for another dog or breed. If your dog likes it and it doesn't give your dog runny stools or constipation issues, and the dog's coat is glossy, not dry, and the dog is neither gaining excess weight or losing weight, then that's probably the best food for him/her.

I wasn't going to post the recipe since the thread seemed to be discussing commercial pet foods. But since DebbieP already is cooking chicken and rice, and someone else also asked, I thought the recipe might be helpful. I cook double batches in 2 big steel enameled pots. The downside is time and cost. The upside is my terriers are very healthy on it. Also, I thought it would be interesting if others respond about the nutritional content if they notice something amiss. 2 1/2 lbs ground beef (or other meat) 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 C rice, dry 1 T garlic paste 1 T wheat germ 1 T cider vinegar 1 T brewer's or nutritional yeast 1 t dried kelp 1 t bone meal 3 large carrots, grated 1/2 can green peas, mashed 1 small crown of broccoli, finely chopped 4 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk 1/2 t iodized salt 1 T flaxseed oil (add to mixture after it has cooled) Begin by boiling the ground beef in a large pot. Add garlic. As it cooks grate and add the carrot (A salad shooter is perfect for this job), chop and add the broccoli. Add water as needed to prevent sticking or burning. Stir often throughout the recipe, and add water as needed. Soak and rinse the rice several times. Add the rice and add more water. Continue to boil. Mash and add the peas. Beat and add the eggs. Add the other ingredients. Add dry milk when cooking is nearly finished. Add flaxseed oil when mixture is fairly cool and ready to be refrigerated. For variation use different meat, cottage cheese, well cooked lentils, garbanzos, lima beans. Vary the vegetable, use sweet potato, yam, spinach. Rice can be varied by using oatmeal, other grains, etc. Feed 2 times a day. --------------------------------- The Vet, Dr. Fox, recommends giving a human vitamin at the rate of 1/8th tablet per 30 lbs of body weight. I also supplement one of my dogs 125 tab of vitamin c and find it clears her runny eyes, and seems to have healed wart-like growths on her back that my vet said were common and not something to worry about. I suspect due to her age her liver is not producing enough vitamin c. My 2 other terriers appear very healthy on this diet. As I said in an earlier post, the dogs get lots of dog biscuits to keep their teeth clean. A word about poop - Since I walk my dogs nearly every day and pick up after them (I use paper lunch bags and pages torn from old telephone books), the diet makes their poop somewhat soft but still firm, and moist. It doesn't smell bad, relatively speaking. A word about breath - This diet has given my dogs a really nice breath scent. When I analysed the recipe using Dietpower and compared it with RDA's for dogs and humans, I only found problems with human RDA's. These were easily made up by adding spinach. Alas, my terriers have told me they do not like spinach...
