This makes me so mad at me!
Comments (2)Don't you just hate when that happens Ida? You're not the only one it happens too by the way. LOL I always try to get my photos early each morning prior to the sun getting on the beds, and it takes quite some time to get over the entire garden, by then, the sun's out and it's too late to photograph anything so, if I don't get good shots initially, then I don't get them at all. So, I totally understand your problem. Be sure to let us know when you get your photos onto your website. Hope you and Damian are both well these days. Jan...See MoreIt makes me so mad. . .
Comments (9)MrB: I don't think that alerting the media will do anything. First, I'm not trying to draw attention to myself, and second, they could possibly try to sue me for libel. And also, people probably wouldn't really care that frogs were being mistreated. They also wouldn't realize how important high humidity is to these frogs, so they might fail to see how these frogs are even being mistreated. It's not like piles of dead frogs are littering the aisles. Now if I bought one of the frogs and it died within a few days, and I tried to get my money back because they had sold me an unhealthy animal and they didn't give it to me, THEN I would alert one of the local news-stations here that has a consumer alert feature. PETA *might* do something, but since most people dismiss them as a bunch of zealots and freaks, I don't think that would do much. And mall security would probably throw them out anyways. =P I think I will write a letter to the management. If things don't improve, then I will trash them to everyone I talk to. =) There is a reptile and amphibian society here (TARAS) in Alberta, and they have a forum that I am a part of, but I don't think you are allowed to mention places by name and say how bad they are. Someone did that once, and he got in huge trouble. The bottom line was that the owner of that store was 100% sure that they were right, and knew everything about pets, and was taking care of these animals just fine (even though there were about 20 leopard geckos in one 10 gal enlcosure, and at least one of them was dead and had not been removed). I'm worried that the same thing will happen here. That is, nothing. My letter will get no response, and other people won't really care that rare and endangered animals are being mistreated. I'll still try, and hope for the best, but I'm not too hopeful....See MoreThings I have to BUY ( makes me mad )
Comments (5)TMG - You should pop in to the Kitchen Table forum and get to know the folks there - a wonderful, giving lot of ladies (and a few guys, too). They have an annual get-together, to be in Iowa this year, as I remember (not TOO far from Wisconsin!). I bet if you made your wishes/needs known and met them in Iowa, you'd be overwhelmed with vines, shells, acorns, etc. Even rocks! Sandy (who hosted the get-together a couple years ago) has a fish pond and many of the ladies brought her rocks from their home states for her pond!...See More*sigh* this is making me mad here/no hotmail
Comments (7)Son loves gmail - wanted to get me into it probably a couple of years ago - back when one had to have an introduction from a subscriber. Did you see my suggestion yesterday to some frustrated hotmailers? It was mainly in jest .. I sort of enjoy that. I've been on Yahoo! for quite a long time and have been pleased with the service, though would be more pleased were they to snatch more of the "Bulk" (four-letter word ... as is "spam") mail on the way in. I have too low capacity in my computer to have allowed me to install their recent upgrade ... perhaps that would help. Quite a few people make Yahoo!Financial one of their major sources for financial info - I do. I'd be happy to send an email for you, if you could get a message to me. But - why not send it yourself? If you go to www.yahoo.com, click on "Mail" and you'll be able to sign in, set up an email address, and send your email. That should work - even if you never use that mailbox again. Shouldn't it? Worth a try - if sending an email now is important. ole joyful...See MoreOutsidePlaying
