From the Vanderbilt Mansion. The railing around her bed was called a birthing rail....back in the day when the birth of the royal child was to be observed to make sure it really was the royal child, it was designed to keep the observers at a distance to leave the mother some room. Can you imagine?

Tinsel Trail trees in our downtown park. The city puts them up and corporations, individuals, churches, and various civic groups decorate them. On display from Thanksgiving through the end of the year. Fun and free.

It will play now, until I get up and out of bed in the morning. I will fall asleep to it, with the TV screen set to turn off automatically.
