Comments (24)YES!!! It worked! The YUCKIE couple is GONE! I was ever so happy about that. And...on her BIRTHDAY...how sad... I know the editing makes it difficult to know exactly what happens at the end...how close it really is, etc. But this one had me guessing the entire time. I think we all knew that the Father and Daughter team was in the lead the entire time. They got the first flight out of Japan which was just enough to make them first at every clue box and the first to the Pit stop. Rachel and TK came in second, even with the Speed Bump! Good for them. I like their attitude. After they ran through all the FireWorks and were on their way back to the train station, TK said something like, 'if we come in last at least we went out with a bang'. I think GrandPa is getting tired. His Grandson carries his back pack most of the time...nice boy! When they had to get to the tea house (?) and not many cab drivers knew how to get there, I thought they would be sunk...we all remember the Grandsons 'issues' with directions and finding his way... All three teams picked the 'earth' challenge which looked easy. If you can just set your mind to it, forget how much it's going to hurt your feet, get it over with, you're home free. At least they were not hot coals. What do you think made the difference? Do you think it was Matt and Jens decission to take the subway & bus to the park when the other teams took cabs or, was it the hissy fit Matt pitched between the subway and finding the bus? Did you notice how many people on the street around them were watching them fight? I felt badly for Matt after they lost. He cried and, she took that exact moment in time to analyze their relationship. But after all...it was HER BIRTHDAY! So, now we are down to the final. I think we all like the teams left. I hope next weeks show is two hours...I hate to see it come to an end. Do you think we will have another Amazing Race in the spring. I hope so. sooey...See MoreAmazing Race 3/4/12
Comments (10)I don't understand why so many folks here at the KT are rooting for Rachel and Brendon when so many folks here at the KT were so adamantly against Boston Rob and Amber when they were on TAR. The folks who were against Rob and Amber kept saying that because she'd won $1 million on Survivor that they shouldn't be on TAR. Well, Rachel won $1 on Big Brother, so why is it ok for her but not Amber? I think that some of the reasons they've gone to India so many times are that seeing the plight of the people who live there might awaken a humanitarian spirit in those who watch the show; the country can certainly use the money the producers pay in order to film in the country; the show undoubtedly uses (and pays) local folks to work behind the scenes while they are "in county" which is greatly needed; and there are a lot of local customs, etc., that make for good challenges. I like the Kentucky guys. They are having a good time, they're not giving each other grief, and they're playing fairly. And speaking of Boston Rob and Amber, Rob showed a lot of smarts when they were on. Remember the challenge where they had to take a specific number of hardbound books from some store and deliver them to a library and put them all on the shelves? They had to use a handtruck to move them from one location to the other. Well, Rob figured out how to stack the correct number of books on the handtruck so that they only had to make ONE trip between the two locations, while all of the other teams had to make at least two trips. Then, there was that awful meat-eating challenge where one team member had to eat an incredible amount of really gross stuff. If you didn't finish a challenge, you had to endure a two-hour penalty at that location before you could move on to the next task. Well, Rob knew that there was no way that he could eat that stuff, so he said to Amber that all he had to do was officially say he was sitting out the challenge, then wait a few minutes and then talk one other team into sitting it out, too. Because he had started the penalty first, it would guarantee that at least one team would be behind them so they wouldn't get eliminated. He had no trouble at all convincing another team to sit out that challenge, and I think at least one other team decided to sit it out, too. So... Phil made a big mistake on this week's episode when he said to the team who had the two-hour penalty at the pit stop that this was the first time in TAR history that a team that had to wait through a penalty hadn't ended up being eliminated -- because Rob and Amber did it during their season....See Moreamazing race season 17 starts tonite
Comments (15)Oooo...it was a good one! I liked the team that was elimated but you are all right...they did it to themselves. They looked like nice guys and smart. I really, really like the two Drs'. I think they will be a good team...smart, fast and level headed. That watermelon really hit hard! What a surprise! That was a good challange. I didn't know what to think of those two but they did a good job and were able to laugh at themselves. Not bad. The dumb team...with all the ink...Oh My! They could not figure out about the flag, the boat or the country. They survived this leg but not by much. The Mother/Daughter team will be interesting to watch. What a story they brought to the show. Very different, that's for sure. I also like the Father/Son team. They will be fun to watch. They seem to work well together. So, we are off on another adventure around the world! Did I hear it correctly...8 elimation legs and 12 legs in all? So will the final be leg 12 or 13? Sooey who is wondering how many pair of undies they pack for such a trip....See MoreAmazing Race
Comments (10)SPOILERS AHEAD----- That was very predictable, they always do that when it's down to 4 teams, to drag it out longer. I actually like the twins and if it wasn't for the money thing, I'd be rooting for them. They get along so well, even when they are annoyed with each other, they get over it well and they're funny and very friendly. And their stories, they crack me up. Saying the exact same thing at the same time, very "twinnie". Lexi's finger injury looked really painful, I felt sorry for her when that happened. And the goat farmers- as my mother would say- they don't have a hasty bone in their whole bodies. LOL They stop and rest and stop and wander around for directions, stop and try to hug the demon that gave them a clue, stop and..... well, they stop too much, it's a RACE! If it wasn't for the great equalizers that they have in every episode (the place doesn't open for 12 hours) the goat farmers would be 3 or 4 days behind. I think the only quick thing they did was fix the windmill. And they didn't seem to have to run 1/3 of a mile to get to it, like the twins did....See More- 2 years ago
