The problem is that you have lots of choices. Often the window treatments are selected in accordance with the furnishings in the room. Are you in an area with strong sun? Do you need privacy? In my new house I have temporary drapes hung up with push pins while I figure out the rest of the room as far as style and color.

I would go with nice curtains with sheers in the middle on your windows extending from just under the ceiling to the floor. Pinterest has a huge variety of pics of window treatments that you can peruse if you'd like.

I would do solar roller style shades as your base and then once tour furnishings have been determined you can decide on the window treatments. As @shirlpp suggests window treatments after all else. Your space looks modern so I would not suggest sheers and panels as they are traditional

Waht do you need from the window coverings since privacy does not seem to be an issue . I need more info but I do agree window coverings are usually decided after all the furnishings are in . I really dislkike shutters always unless they are in a plantation home in the south. Heat and UV control are best dealt with with soalr shades to bea ble to control those and keep the view . Sheers can control those but do not allow the view.I like drapes in bedrooms, blackout if neccessary. A bit more info from you as to what is needed first. If you are looking for something quick and not expensive, our house came with these shades in all the bedrooms. The previous owner purchased from the big A. I ordered what I thought was the same (but it was a tone on tone pattern) from this A seller "MOOD Store." They were not blackout, so I replaced with natural woven shades with blackout backing. I also did not like not being able to see through them when down. Definitely go with cordless. You can always keep these and add curtain panels later.

Regarding the main objectives: Our location is SoCal, and a majority of our windows face the South. So a lot of sunlight. Blocking the direct light falling in house is important, but we don't want to cut it out completely making the house dark (for the living room, kitchen and other common areas), And in the bedrooms we do want the blackout.

The house is not fully furnished yet as we moved from a small apartment to this place, and that project is a separate work in progress. But from a general preference standpoint, we like the Earth Tones in colors, simple clean lines with the styles, and natural wood options as much as we can. In the kitchen almost everything is stainless color. And currently the flooring is a combination of dark brown and grey, and the carpet is tan. But we want to change the flooring to a lighter brown+grey type of LVP when the budget permits. So, any window treatment that is kind of neutral and can work with the current flooring as well as future changes would be great.

Not sure if it is possible to give any ideas based on this info. And I know it is difficult without the real pictures.
