Cupboard config & dining room storage

Hello! We’re wanting to add some extra storage to our living room.

Context is that we don’t have a pantry and limited cupboard space/small kitchen. We think this would be best against the wall with the pictures and plan to get rid of all the current cupboards/clutter in the room and change to a rectangle dining table. We also want to repaint the walls white. It’s also likely to a DIY project.

The wall is 3.92m so we’re thinking of these options;

  1. Wall to wall cupboards (two pantries with low cupboards in-between).
  2. Two pantries with low cupboards in-between but not the full length of the wall (not sure whether to centre or not).
  3. Two pantries on either corner and nothing in the middle.

Originally I was set on option 1, but it’s a LOT of cupboards and I’m worried it might overwhelm the space. They probably cant be open shelving/glass since we need them for storage ☺️

What would you do? Any other advice or tips? I’ve attached pics of the room (excuse the mess) and also inspiration of what we like. Thank you 🙏
