Comments (25)Maybe I should have opened up the email first. Check this out! My client asked me for a top designer and I told her to call Corey. I have know him for a long time and he is as anal about design as me. The big difference between us is that he is both a certified designer and NKBA design teacher/speaker - and I am not. I have opinions but am better building than designing I think - especially when it comes to Kitchens. This is going to be a Kick Ass project. Glad I have a small part in it. I love designers who can do these 3D drawings! Thanks Corey! http://www.houzz.com/pro/coreyklassen/corey-klassen-interior-design...See MoreWater between HVAC duct work and duct work insulation jacket

Comments (44)ILoveMod You have been the only person who has said anything nice about our floorplan. Thank you! Which BTW is not drawn to scale. Our draftsman said you have to buy their floor plan to get their room dimensions. In actuality when I drew it out, the master bathroom and the laundry area, pantry and 1/2 bath came out larger than the original plan with the same exterior measurements. We did add a foot in width so ours will measure 32 x 33. Totalling 1089 sq ft. We hope to live it until we die. My parents passed last year and they struggled with a narrow hallway in a wheelchair. Also no walk in shower. The other problem for them was 32" wide doors. Too narrow when you are in a wheelchair. Plus the swing doors are a nightmare if you are in a wheelchair. We have considered all of these things with this house. We also want small ramps going up to the front and side door.s. Most people don't plan for aging....See MoreCost to replace a/c duct work in Florida
Comments (4)Attic space is tight 'cause it is a Florida house with "low" roofing. The quotes are EXTREME. If I had to fashion a reason it would be due to this (tight space). Duct work is primarily a labor intensive job working in of all places a hot humid attic made worse by the building it occupies. (worker injury, house damage, yeah there's a charge for that...) How extreme? Like rip off the roof to get to the ductwork extreme? It's an example why I never buy a house with a small tight attic. A lesson as it were. Can't even tell you how many of those kinds of jobs I walked away from. More like run, but well you know... if you don't ---about to find out. Other jobs I like to run from: homes with two HVAC units in a tight attic in which one of the units has to be removed to get the other one out. The one that's broken is always the one in the back. The stories I could tell, Oh dear Lord... I service the Katy, Texas area...See MoreMiche
