Kathsgrdn, Thank You. I know you are exceptionally busy just now - but the last address I had for her was her last stint in rehab when we were trying to send cards. I don't think I've ever had an actual home address.

PS - iPads and iPhones all have internet access, they'd be of little or no use without that.

Waiting to hear. I didn't post much on her threads, well, because of someone else. I guess I shouldn't of let that stop me , but I did not like his comments and he was very argumentiv and so MUCH against anyone from the South. .I do like her recipes.

The last I remember, she had daily carers coming to assist her, right? If that’s the case, if anything has happened to her, surely her son knows about it. She didn’t have a medical procedure coming up, did she? It’s very worrisome. I hope we hear something soon.

Hi guys....I deleted my posts. Didn't want to keep her Facebook link up too long. Like I said, I don't know her as well as some of you on here, so I was just passing on the info I found. Hope we hear something soon too.

In defense of whomever you few are disparagingly referring to, we all have likes and dislikes, no? Would any of you be up to moving to join me as a resident of California? We have diversity that enriches everyone and it's enjoyed and accepted by most. Politics are politics but the extremist nonsense paralyzing things on a federal basis and in many states is mostly absent. Not true in much of the US and I couldn't stand to be in such places.

We all have likes and dislikes, everyone chooses what's right for them. Or makes no informed choices and stays put.

Don't really know in Elmer's case) was not very nice to her and she retailiated. So ... let's hope that Parke Sr. will update Parke Jr. who will update us.

Parke Jr is in the Navy and currently doesn't live near Glenda. Hence, he contacted his father, who does live in a town about 5 miles from where Glenda lives.

This should be about Glenda. And the updates about Glenda.

Regardless of anything else, we are all worried about Glenda.

In addition to not bickering, we could probably do without the questioning of her family relationships. At this point I’d think it’s safe to assume that either there’s nothing serious wrong or that the her grandson wasn’t comfortable sharing. I do hope it’s the former.

Really thinking it'd be a good idea to delete this thread. It's gotten way off topic, and pretty childish.

I feel it would be a pity to delete a whole thread that sets out with a positive purpose just because it gets derailed by a compulsive contrarian. Just laugh and continue the discussion on topic while ignoring extraneous comments. That way we might actually find out the situation with Glenda.

Yes we are all concerned about Glenda and I hope we get news soon that everything is ok. But I'm not comfortable with diversions, speculations nor the sharing of a lot of personal information that the family may not want posted in a public forum.

If Parke doesn't get back to me I'm not going to keep bothering her or her family. Some people just tire of this forum and decide not to participate anymore. Hoping all is well with her and she is just taking a break from the KT.

There are dozens of free people lookup sites. I've easily found Glenda on them. For free.

Many sites provide neighbors. Maybe call one of the people in her condo?

It's easy to find someone using the correct key words. But I respect their privacy too much to share. We will know if we are meant to know. If we are not, we won't. Her grandson has been contacted by another poster already. . Now it's time for everyone to MTOB and let it rest.

I think Glenda would appreciate the concern from all of us here. I hope she checks in soon.

I'll just comment that if her grandson was not aware of anything then likely she is fine, maybe just occupied with other things. I still hope we hear back soon.

( I vaguely remember some contact specifics from a while ago but it's all just very vague).

I think it's rather nice that people are concerned and connected.

Makes me think that we might all get a GW buddy with whom we can share contact info, so if something should happen, our buddy can notify the group...or have our children or SO made aware of how to post to this group. It's so worrisome when someone disappears, especially when we know they've been having health issues. Most of us have never met in RL, but that doesn't mean we don't know each other or care about each other.

I do hope we get good news about Glenda soon. Better yet, I hope she posts!!

Just to be clear, Glenda has shared lots and lots of information here, on The Kitchen Table, with us. Her last name, her son's and grandson's names and whereabouts, her son's wive(s), her location, etc. I don't believe that anyone here has violated much if anything that she hasn't already conveyed through her many years on this forum.

I don't disagree that personal information should remain personal, but please don't suppose that anyone is sharing much of anything that she hasn't. Remember Mama Pinky (RIP, dear friend)? She shared everything. Some folks here do .... and Glenda did.

She's a very valued member of this forum "community" and we're concerned and miss her. I agree that, if no more info is forthcoming from PJR or PSR, we let it go.

Unfortunately, the longer we go without hearing anything, the more concerned I get. Sending good thoughts your way, Glenda and hope all is well.

I don't think it's invasive to be concerned if a regular old time member is OK or even still alive! I'm sure no one would care if I lived or died but there are others here that have been around for many years and have formed close bonds with the members! We are, after all, real live people and not just some computer generated texts!

But, I agree that there are a few very dear members that just stand out and they are missed when they don’t post.

Of course. She may be in a hospital or rehab.

That's why I commented to that ^ - in case anyone hasn't been following the comments, somebody already did contact her grandson and he expressed no knowledge of anything amiss. To me that's somewhat reassuring.

Any news today? I am concerned also.
