Jo, I have seen linearis in the box stores in the past few years, though usually by the time I came across them, they were looking pretty sad. I got my EA linearis from a local garden center that sold EA plants, I gave the girl there that did the ordering a list of a few plants I was interested in, and she passed them along to EA, no promises though! Lucky for me, they did send a linearis, and I knew what day they were to be shipped and was there to see them take it out of the box, so I was the only one to ever water it or care for it, which may be why the plant survived. FYI, alot of people water linearis from the bottom to avoid what seems to be a common issue with the variety, stem rot right above the soil level. Not the whole stem, but just a small section rots and then dries up and withers away, so that water and nutrients can no longer reach the rest of the stem...if you don't clip it off and remove the dead part, it will die. I have watched it happen to my plant, and am slowly transferring all the pieces that get the stem rot to hydroculture. I tried switching out of the EA mix to my faster draining mix, and that helped somewhat, but didn't solve the problem. I am not having any problems in hydro though, so I am assuming it has something to do with the soil, rot causing microbes or whatever. I have heard of this happening to a few other people with this plant, but i don't know how common it is - and I am a stingy waterer too, so I was surprised it happened to me. If anyone else has had the problem, I would love to know how they solved it. No matter what, it is not enough to make me want to stop growing this hoya, I really like it. Wish the dang thing would bloom though!!

6 YEARS LATER AND ATG STORES IS UP TO THE SAME TRICKS. I just ordered a laundry hamper through their store on Jan. 27. On Feb. 3, I checked on my order which said it was "still being processed." On Feb. 8, my order NO LONGER EXISTED. When I called their customer service, the gentleman on the phone said they had sent me an email on Jan. 30 (similar to that 3 day window you mentioned!). I checked my email and there was NO EMAIL SENT. (I checked all spam/junk/promo). He said they were back-ordered for THREE MONTHS. I told them that was unacceptable and that I wanted my money back. (at least that went smoothly). But now today I get an email that says I canceled the order? WRONG. YOU DID NOT HAVE ITEM AVAILABLE. What's sad is that item is still being shown as available to purchase on their website, so some other sucker can go fall for the same trap. If I hadn't called... I would still be waiting... yet without an order number to back me up... and maybe not receiving my item until APRIL (if ever)! When I tried to post about it on their Facebook page, my post did not go up... so, when people visit their social media, they can't see the sh*tty experience others are having... tricky, tricky ATG Stores... Tricky, TRICKY! Shame on you for your deceptive practices!

I ordered 3 totos from faucetdirect.com 2 of 3 came damaged. the boxing on mine was not impressive, and 2 of the 3 boxes were somewhat crushed, one of those was fine, the one in the good box was broken. we inspected when they were being delivered and refused delivery, called up faucetdirect sent new ones, those were fine and delivered quickly. they did seem to indicate tht the process was more involved if I actually accepted them and did a return reorder etc. I'd consider doing it again, but I think next time I'd check locally as well and see what they could do on price I was on the edge of my seat until they were installed to see if they were fine

I have only shopped at Hamels Fabrics in Chilliwack BC. They are wonderful to deal with have high quality fabric and very good sales. I got a 16pc FQ bundle Reg. $74.00 for $34.98. The online shops treat us shoppers just as if we were in their store. You will find good quality and great service from 99%. I didn`t mention using your credit card or PayPal. Many are moving to PayPal. You must sign up with them and they do all the credit card transactions in a safe way. If you use your credit card, the good stores will indicate your are entering a secure area where you enter your card information. In 5 years, I have never had a problem. When I started shopping, I used the shops advertised in magazines. I just looked around until I found ones I liked and that catered to my needs. You will find one shop may favor flannels, another novelty, another reproduction, etc. Another spot Quiltshops.com has a membership of 200 stores and you can browse through those.
