Does New Rug Work At All In Master Bedroom?
Comments (37)Thank you Olychick! I really love the one with the gray underskirt, I would definitely buy that one if it were reasonable. I've been looking at Penney's, Overstock and Amazon, and the only thing I liked were two at Overstock that have a pale green background, one with flowers in terracotta, but only sprinkled here and there. The flowers would at least tie it in with my solid colored terracotta drapes. My area carpet just arrived a little while ago so my mind is going in different directions. I so appreciate everyone's input here and it has definitely helped me to understand what is needed....See Morecoordinating rug for master bedroom
Comments (18)Tiffany...quit shouting. remove the caps when you type! kerrs----oh well hell,,,ok,,lol. quite a bit of changing you're doing. based on all of that, then I see where you're going. but the magenta is still throwing me a bit. those pillows on the bed,,,what are those? And the fabric on the headboard, is that brown? Sorry, but your photos are not helping. what you need to do is post a pic of all your changes, i see the floor, but I can't make out the headboard fabric. is it a dark gray or a brown? do you have any idea on the comforter/bedding selection? I think if you're doing those chairs as an accent, then bring in the dark mustard/gold tone (like the fabric) instead of a magenta. you don't need 3 accent colors in this room. since the chair has two of them, use those. You already have the gold in the mirror, so I don't think adding magenta will help. just leave it in the ensuite w/the grays. just do the teals w/hints of gold/mustard. this one brings your chairs to the party. you don't need magenta. work w/these colors the tile in the bathroom around the tub, is that staying? (it's very yellow looking) gray and magenta in the bathroom is fine (however, those tiles, if not replaced, maybe your should spray epoxy them in a solid color?) use the magenta/fuschia in your flowers and perhaps some towels. that's about all you can do in there. did you look at the color wheel link?...See MoreThoughts on this Rug for Our Master Bedroom?
Comments (1)not a pro. The items that you show appear to me to be glam or more polished and stylish than the rug is. I think you can do better. And yes you need a 9 x 12 to use with a king sized bed. A king bed is roughly 6 1/2 ft wide by 7 ft long. so this will give you approximately a 3 ft border around your bed....See Moremaster bedroom closet rug?
Comments (3)I personally wouldn’t worry about luxury in a closet. I have wall to wall carpet in my master (previous owner selection) and it’s a pain to keep clean. I’d much rather swiffer hardwood floors!! If you need something to keep your feet warm, choose a small area rug you like that fits the space....See Moreharkdh1
