I’ve never found a deal on Prime Days. Like you said, there might be a small discount, but not enough to incentivize me to buy something unless that was already my intention.

I too have never found anything that was a great deal on prime day.

In previous years, I've foind a couple things.

I like how this time they have a category called "Prime Big Deal", which highlights certain things. Those prices seem to be a little better than some of the rest, though nothing earth shattering (and possibly, not lower than what you find elsewhere).. At the very least, it reminds me to look at things i might possibly need, most of which are really pretty mundane (I picked up a set of spoonulas, for example. I also see their dog waste bags at $2 off). I was looking at some of the knives as well (Yaxell). .

Found one I might give for xmas: Aerogarden for $50.

And I reall might get the bowl...

I did most of my kitchen re-stock 6-7 years ago. After a few knife handles started to crack, wedding gifted LC enamel cast iron started to look worn--switched to Staub, (big love for Staub). Thermoworks and Alexa. Smart bulbs...

Back then prices were 40-60% off. Now 10-15% is not really worth the bother.

Reminds me of a story a co-worker told one Spring. "my wife just purchased 4 Winter scarves at 50% off. I just saved 80$", "no, you just spent 80$. We don't really need any more scarves".

That said, i could use a few more smat bulbs. Walking just ahead of the kitchen..."alexa, turn on the hall light, the pantry light, and the desk lamp".

I need a house warming gift and a wedding gift. Not bad price on Vitamix...

A co-worker gave me an AeroGarden 5 years ago that sat under the guest room bed for a few years. I set it up during lock-down 2020. It was ok for a while. But was a gate-way to setting up my own system. The AeroGarden stopped working that year. Maintenance involved. Gets funky and needs a good cleaning every 3-4 months. Not a big deal but good to know. Easy to remove the plants, set in water in drink glasses while cleaning.

Excellent having fresh herbs all winter. My Thai basil in my system is over a year old and a small shrub. I rooted cuttings of the basils and mint and have more plants going for this winter.

So many are happy with them. A friend just asked me about this one but i have no clue but reviews are good.

Might be nice at the beach home if we have an extended stay.

Excellent night lights if in the kitchen or pantry. 18 hours on, 8 off. Low power draw.

Thanks, Sleevendog, for the review and the details. I was on the fence about it as one more thing to plug in. Thanks, especially for pointing out the length of the on cycle. I hadn't thought that through, and likely makes it a no-go.

I consider this a fairly good deal. While it is true that I have the 16 piece of this set, and some individual pans of this brand, I feel like the price of everything is just steadily going up, and I like to have backups of things like this, as pots and pans do wear out. I do like this brand for everyday use. Plus, the color of course. So I bought it.

I also bought these. They were 20% off. Not a HUGE savings as they do not cost much anyway, but I have a collection of thanksgiving dresses that I wear to work and I wear leggings under them. (also christmas and halloween, but i didnt see any leggings for those that i liked on sale.)

Thanks for mentioning this. I ordered some more T-shirts (I sleep in some of them) and some boxer briefs. I plan on leaving half of these in Cathedral City so that I will not have to carry them back and forth. I did laundry today and noticed that I needed more underwear. The T-shirts were 15% off and the brief were 30% off.

I had a look here yesterday and it's only small things. Anything really interesting like an e-bike aren't there. The bowl is cute!

Yeah, I hear you. They used to have big stuff, but I'm guessing that the proportion, or maybe just numbers, of Prime members is too great. The bigger ticket items I saw on the deal were the Chinese brands which, for all I know, may be house brands. In another thread, I looked up Breville air fry ovens, and saw they had a toaster oven version with excellent ratings. I only have room for one or the other, and the air fry oven that I got a couple years ago on a Prime day deal, doesn't toast. It's supposed to. It makes lukewarm hard, white bread. So, if there had been a good enough discount to make demoting the current one to ”dehydrator” a fine idea, I would have foresworn the cute bowl and gotten the Breville. My Breville FP and multicooker have me convinced that their #1 priority is function, and the word in GW for over a decade is that they have the best toaster ovens and countertop ovens. Alas, Breville is full retail, only. Not even a ”street price”

One of my favorite ever Prime day finds was my kitchen shears. They're not expensive to begin with—I just really like them. I got a few of them for additional token presents. Also, some pretty journals at ”stocking stuffer” prices. And a set of kitchen cord winders for me. The discounts on the little things do add up. :)

The bowl has that look of glass from 100 years ago, but it's ceramic. It's supposed to be able to take microwave, oven, dishwasher, etc., including the beater, so I would have thought high fire stoneware, but they say "ceramic". I just thought it would look nice in my kitchen, and back of mind thought that it keep crud from falling into a bowl I want to use. That's silly though. I could have found room to stash the stainless bowl. I also got a couple of bowl covers, but not for keeping the crud out (no passing crud in the cupboards!), but I thought they'd take a lot less space in the fridge than a silicon cabbage leaf bowl cover, and be more efficient than plastic wrap.

Are you waiting for delivery? Maybe the seller (via A) doesn’t really know the material..

Thank-you! I think I wasn't clear. The bowl is slated to arrive tomorrow, but I'm fully confident that if they said "ceramic" it's ceramic. I'm also confident that their ceramics can be used as said. These are sold by KitchenAid themselves, and I've seen similar on their website. I just don't like using electric mixers on ceramic bowls and while I might use high fire stoneware, like Bunzlauer, in those ways, I ordinarily wouldn't with normal ceramic. That's me, not them. :) My purpose isn't to have a non-reactive mixer bowl. It's to be cute!

I love that bowl, a hobnail look which is a favorite. But I can't afford it! Boohoo!
