Basically your are shown how to get the most blooms out of your climbers. Your climber looks healthy! The link to Ashdown rose video is below. Yup, i planted purple flowers to bloom in june and july flowers for july. is anything going to bloom in august? Why do my cats do their 'thing' in freshly turned over dirt right before I plant? Why do i try to grow roses when i know it attracts japenese beetles to the garden? and they are just terrible this year! Why doesn't my russian sage grow big? my mom's is huge! Its very puny looking. yuck. I am going on a garden tour sunday and plan on taking a good hard look at the colors blooming in other peoples gardens. that being said, i guess I plant the colors that appeal to me the most..purples, pink, blues, white and soft yellow. NO orange for me. It's been a real pleasure to garden this year after the terrible heat and drought of last year. I was thinking last nite that this is what gardening is about as I puttered here and there.

Roses Unlimited (RU) does not have Rosa rubrifolia (R. glauca). I googled the R. Glauca rose to procure more information...and wow...it is beautiful! I will need to find this rose from a different vendor (maybe next year). I am ordering the following roses. Are these roses are well suited for our WA climate zone (esp. for disease resistance, hardiness, and adaptability). 1. Climbers: Alister's Gift 2. Hybrid Musk: Bubble Bath 3. Polyanthas: La Marne 4. Hybrid Tea: Sweet Promise 5. Floribunda: Easter Basket (will this work in WA?) I am also considering Evangeline, Echo, and Lorenzo Pahissa but am undecided at this time. Kindly let me know if there are other roses on the sale page that may work better for our climate. It is a "shadow calculator". You put the geographical latitude to which your garden is located, the height of the adult tree, and the day and month of the date you want to calculate. It will give you how much the shadow of that tree you will imagine on the date you have entered (The shadows projecting any object in summer are much shorter than in winter). Maybe I'm not the one to explain it well using the translator. But if you visit the page you will understand what I say. It is a very valuable tool to know where exactly to locate the tree so that during the summer it projects its shadow towards the zone that you want. I think you should use as measures meters and centimeters (there are pages on the web that will translate your unit of measurement that you use meters and centimeters) I hope that helps.
