Shower glass went in, and we are finally done with the renovation of our 8’x9’ primary bathroom - whew! We went from a tiny builder basic bathroom with a wonky vanity set up to a slightly larger space with a larger shower and double vanity. Houzz forums were super useful and led me to choose the shower control location, a solid surface at the base of the niches and on the curb, and Schluter edging. Among the things we’re happiest with are the sturdy counter height double vanity (ordered online from Willow Bath & Vanity - highly recommend). We had some challenges too, the biggest of which was just after having the shower floor tile completed we had to have it torn out and redone (with new waterproofing too) because I saw that the tile was polished and not matte like we’d ordered (ugh!). I was aiming for a calm and relaxing feel, and in the end, I’m super happy with what we were able to achieve.
