I think your arched shutters add charm to the house and you should keep your shutters but your need wider ones for the upstairs left window.

I'd be tempted to paint the house dark blue with black shutters, white trim (including the porch posts) and a bright light door (not sure what tone -- maybe a light green)

I hope it is possible to replant your tree elsewhere but because it doesn't look happy there in the shade it is not doing much to improve the look of your house. Looks like the flower bed doesn't get much sun but if you don't have deer browsing your yard there are many attractive low-growing bushes and flowers that would grow there. A border of flowers on the lawn side of the walk from the driveway to the first angle of the walk would look nice. A lampost where the walk meets the drive would be nice. Solar-powered lights all along the inside of the walkway would be useful, as would 2 substantial lights on either side of the garage door.

Do you use the porch? Because if not, I'd take away the furniture.

although it is not necessary for code, I would add a railing and create an enclosed porch.

is that a crepe myrtle? If so, I would keep it trimmed to just below the roofline for a bushy pop of color. add some color below, fill the bed.

I love thos combo with brick I would lose the shutters for sure . So all trim, garge door the same green then go to work on the landscaping please .Make sure the garage door has windows too.
