In the photos all the colors seem to appear grayer/bluer than I would expect from how the colors normally appear. That does point to a lighting problem. Not enough natural light combined with not enough indoor light, and maybe not the right color temperature of indoor light. If you have LEDs in your ceiling fixtures, it could also be a problem with poor color rendering (LEDs vary a lot in their color rendering index, or CRI--look for 90 or higher). If you have LEDs, I would check the lamp characteristics first. If the color temperature is above 3000, or the CRI is below 90, that could be your problem. I think Herbflavor may be right though: Your current lighting seems in adequate. Your kitchen would probably benefit from more lighting fixtures (recessed cans) and more total lumen output. Warmer color temperatures (2700-3000K) should help bring out the yellow in the Ivory Lace.

Jaime, I feel your pain! The decision making is killing me! Believe it or not, I still haven’t decided on wall colors. My cabinets and trim are going to be Sherwin Williams Pure White. Walls may also be Pure White. Otherwise they’ll be a very light greige or off white. Fortunately for me, the house is still under construction and I still have time to ponder! Pretty all of my choices have changed since I made this post. If you google Kylie M. Interiors, she is a fan of Whte Duck so she may have ideas for trim color. Good luck!

Almost anything goes with white walls. I think the problem is you don't really know which style you want. You named three in your question. It's not so important to be able to name it, but having some inspiration pictures so that you can convey the look you're after would help. If you haven't already, take some time to compile one or more Ideabooks on Houzz (I do one for each room). Just start saving pictures of rooms you like and indicate what you like about each room in the comment field. After a while some commonalities should start becoming apparent. If not, if you're still all over the place, understand that sometimes one house or one room can't hold all of your good ideas. You will have a more pleasing, coherent end result if you refine your taste. Save some ideas for the next house, or the next time you redecorate. :-) What makes professional decorators'/designers' rooms stand out from non-professionals is the discipline required to achieve an intentional look.

Don't use white dove. I painted my walls with it and it was hella-dingy! repainted w/Simply White. so much better. (I also did my trim w/it) you will see a natural difference between the eggshell and the semi gloss finish. both of these are Simply White, but the trim looks brighter. it's just because of the reflective quality in the finish. I have the walls in the kitchen painted Light Pewter. it's the same ballpark as crushed ice. you can see it here on these two walls. Again, Simply White on all of that trim. (cabinets were supposed to be that shade but they did a lacquer conversion and went one shade whiter, I think) IRL they look identical. night
