Design Dilemma Paint Remodeling

Paint and wall Design Help!

Hi we have recently changed the our floors from vinyl to white porcelain tiles (marbled design) and we are having a tough time matching the color and design for the walls.. Can someone please help us find options for wall paints and design? Here are the old home photos and a picture of our new tiles. The tiles are predominantly white.

Can you be more specific about what you mean when you say “design for the walls”? Do you mean you need help with designing the room’s feel and furniture layout in general? As for the paint, you should be able to take one of the tiles to a paint store to have it color matched.

Design the walls like would something like this look nice to our wall or something. We did do that the color match and it was too dark.the last picture was the actual color we color matched from the tiles

If teal isn’t doing it for you that blue color is really pretty too and still would look gray with brass and the grey floor tile! i am not a pro... but I have similar situation with lighter couches than yours but lots of natural light and light wood floors, tried accessible beige (100%. and 75%), agreeable grey, natural choice, neutral ground, shoji white and one or two others. In process of painting with pearly white at 115%... it's very different than what we had but I really like that it's warm white, but still crisp look and goes well with lots of elements and looks great with my Naval walls in adjacent library and navy accents.. Many of the other colors looked nice during the day but came off pretty dark and more color forward at night even with lighting.

Thank you Patricia.. I am not tied to plum more like a gray dusty plum.. but not tied to that either! I don’t have floors yet but I am leaning towards walnut/hard wood . I am usually very simple with bedding but I found a duvet cover I thought I would try in there .. I was thinking I should make sure the color was clear and fresh without being muddy in there .. but you are right furnishings and bedding are important..here it is.. incorporates cool and warm tones

You may want to save rooms you admire in an idea book so we can get a sense of your overall style. Let us know what the purpose of the room is. Will there be a TV, do you already have furniture, art, do you want a rug? The more information we have the better any suggestions will be.

I agree we for sure need to know what this space is .IMo the tiles are busy so I would not be inclined to add another level of busy on the walls just art . But I need more info.

You could keep the walls as is and go deeper on the draperies and some furniture. I think dressing the front window as shown would make a huge difference to the short wall. Hang drapes as high as you can; include, to the floor, semi-sheers.

Use art to give walls a different dimension.
