Has Anyone Installed Hallmark Flooring Organic 567 Hardwood?

We fell in love with the Hallmark 567 Organic Collection and wanted to see if anyone has any photos or reviews you can share of the flooring? In particular, the Gunpowder Oak is our absolute favorite with the color Chai coming in second. Our worry was that the saw marks would be too busy but we also love not worrying about scratches since the floor is heavily distressed. Please post your reviews and installed pics!

To me those saw marks are what you would return as damgaed out of a box . I think those will make you crazy on a whole floor .

Are you building a barndominium? I think it's perfect. If it's for an elegant historic home, not so much.

Ri included the top one with the tile. I’m not sure what caused the darkening the wood but we didn’t have a rug in the hall. Snow could have melted there. The second one is in the shade. There isn’t as much of a color difference as what is shown. The third one was the only sunny patch that was left. Considering how filthy the floor is, it hides dirt and dog hair really well. We had to have engineered wood since we’re on the water. It was installed all over except for the front hall, laundry room and bathrooms. There is radiant heat under the first floor. Hope this helps.

And another reason why things look drastically different from website shots: INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH lighting! The professional photos are done using a HUGE amount of lighting. Just like super models in a photo shoot, the 5-10 lighting diffusers used to 'light' the photo make a HUGE difference. And that's BEFORE they use 'photoshop' to make the floors look better than they actually are. Once you have decided on your COLOUR (you have 3 different colours with 3 different DEPTHS of colour) then you start shopping for the colour. At that point you choose a few samples in that COLOUR. Then you narrow it down in the home lighting (BTW....do the lighting FIRST and THEN choose the sample that looks BEST in the NEW lighting situation). Once you have narrowed it down you can then purchase a single box to ensure you are seeing what you THOUGHT you were seeing in the sample.

@John Creek do you have any installation photo of the Regretta? I'm actually thinking of intalling the Hallmark Leeward Regretta in our kitchen and then the Hallmark Organic 567 in Gunpowder in the rest of the house. The colors and look are almost identical (I have sample boards of each), although the texture is a little different since the Organic 567 has more scrapes and texture. But the Regretta being waterproof, seemed a better fit in our kitchen. The living room is a step down, so the transition is not a big deal in there, but we do have to other rooms (dining and office) that I would like to keep the Oragancic 567 as well, but it flows into the kitchen via a doorway, so I might just keep it all the Regretta, even though I love the look of the Orangic 567. The 567 will go up the stairs as well (off the dining room). I'd love to see photos of the Regretta in a real house. There are very few photos out there. Post some if you have any. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

I prefer to see a glue assist when the planks get that wide. It gives you one more layer of stability. Of course your home's HUMIDITY CONTROL (ahem...you can keep it pin-point accurate because you have a whole home humidity system that you keep at 45% for 25+ years, right) will help push you either towards a glue-assist (NO humidity control in the house) or away from glue-assist (you HAVE the whole home system). What's your humidity control like? And remember, humidity that is too LOW is JUST AS DANGEROUS as humidity that is too high!

Unique Wood Floors

We have installed a few floors from Hallmark 567 Organic Collection. Oolong hickory has been picked and installed more often than others. Personally, I enjoyed working with Organic Solid collection more than their Engineered since its look and feel is crafted realistic. Here is Hickory Tulsi.

We had Hallmark Floors Organics 567 installed last October. Within 24 hours we had a lot of gapping in the floors, which then progressed to cupping. The floors were nailed with glue assist. After many months of trying to get someone from the supplier (three different people left the company) we finally got someone out to process the warranty claim with Hallmark. Just got the response back from Hallmark, and they denied the claim. The denied it because they said it was due to the environment. The floor requires a humidity level between 35% and 50%. Despite the fact that we have a whole house humidifier that has been on during that time at about 37% they will not cover. Now, because of the bowing of the wood, the edges are starting to chip off now. We had one level of our house (about 800 sf) done in this crap. I would not recommend this flooring if you live in any dry state such as Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, or parts of Texas - or anywhere else where humidity is lower. When your floors have issues, you are SOL with this company. Beware also if you are in a humid environment, where your humidity may be higher than that, because you may also have issues with the floor, and again, you will be SOL. Are they beautiful out of the box. Yes they are. Are they worth the money. Not by a long shot.
