Comments (13)Okay, so about an hour later after 1st reading the responses I am back. Thank you so very much, NHB for the links. I love them & the article is very informing - esp about a thicker cushion & height/depth. I love Kitchenkelly's morgue drawers - hee hee:) Sueb20 - your banquette is beautiful & exactly what I had in mind. Chijim - yep, that is high line right there!! Is he the designer they call the king of chintz? Lovely & over the top:) Well, I was thinking of a banquette but DH nixed the idea. Oh well, I enjoyed all the pics & info. I think it is so great for a breakfast nook. Thank you all. Smiles:)...See MoreBanquette seating against windows (height?)
Comments (6)This is the best picture I have of the back of my house showing all the windows, sorry. The kitchen is the right side of the house in this picture. The bank of windows you see will be made of 2 wider windows instead of 4 skinnier ones. We will be residing the house next year after the kitchen project. (there's no insulation so the whole skin is coming off so we can insulate from the outside, plus the siding isn't in the best shape) The hill under the windows will become a deck area and the grass in the forefront of the picture will be a pool. The view from the kitchen windows will be the garage roof for now, but after the deck is in I hope to add some taller evergreens into the landscaping if possible for shade and a screen for the garage from the house. As far as adding a counter to that wall, I suppose it's possible, but we intend on staying on this house for quite a while....See MoreDon't look now, but I think a banquette may show up in my kitchen! :)
Comments (15)Bpath- Would love to have an arbor! I think that might be a year of two down the road, but outside the kitchen window is the perfect place :) Designsaavy- You never know when a space might open up...look at our situation! MamaGoose- Plans...okay, I did have a plan of the kitchen...I'll try to add in the breakfast room. Pictures will come later...after my husband's office goes into the new space and out of our breakfast area! Fishymom- I think I saw that picture! I remember you talking about what a great fit it was for the space. Very nice. Benjesbride- Thank you! And I love my new title! LOL...See MoreBanquette seating
