Oh yeah, dilute it. It doesn't take but a drop or two. I hesitate to say that it will be safe on all painted surfaces, because that has more to do with the paint quality and how it was applied than it does the cleaning products used. If you have factory finished painted cabinets, then it will be fine. A microfiber cloth is the other magic ingredient. If you are having issues with grease in your kitchen anywhere other than around your immediate cooktop, the first thing to do is to address your venting. It's not adequate.

By "quartz" do you mean engineered stone or quartzite please? If engineered stone, you're probably going to have to get someone who is familiar with Quartz Renew. If you look at your tops as ruined, you can probably try it yourself, but I wouldn't recommend it. If it's quartzite, or a marble imitating quartzite, a local stone restoration professional can save you.

@Susanne Woolley its a long story, but we eneded up having to return the glacier white because it was an oddly printed slab. we have msi trevi because it was one of the only options availabe. i went with bm white dove. it has enough warmth and grey in it to look good in both east and west exposure. kitchens not completly finished but im happy with it so far! the trevi is a littke darker and warmer than cabinets

Cutting or increasing a colour by a percentage is open to a great deal of interpretation. So it’s kind of a clunky approach unless you have actually seen the results of a specific colour being manipulated from a specific store and liked it. Does it mean somewhat lighter - but the same degree of colourfulness? Does it mean both lighter + less colourful? Whichever it is - you end up with a new colour - which you may - or may not like. You can however, create an effective palette layering white & off-white tones together. The secret? Ensuring the two ’whites’ look deliberate, by having enough contrast so neither looks dingy or dirty next to the other. This can be done by managing their difference in Chroma. (degree of colourfulness) And if they aren’t too close together in Hue, nor too far apart either, this also adds to the degree of contrast.
