Cleaning Quartz counters?
Comments (9)Everyday cleaning: Any detergents usually used for polished surfaces may be used. Coloured liquids that come into contact with the surface should be cleaned immediately, when the stain is still fresh. The agglomerate material of quartz does not absorb liquid substances and the dirt that might be retained by the micro-knurling does not penetrate the material and can therefore always be removed. In the case of more persistent dirt, acid-based aggressive detergents may also be used. Avoid cleaning the surface with denatured alcohol which leaves streaks that are difficult to remove when it dries. Comments (9)No Vinegar has the same pH level as hydrochloric acid. pH3 and baking soda is an abrasive If you look at the care & maintenance instructions from the quartz manufacturer and also read their warranty cards. They will say not to use anything that is not pH neutral. Bleach, Vinegar, etc are all corrosive and will dull the surfaces overtime. Bleach is also mentioned NOT TO BE USED by all the major manufacturers. This is what bleach can do on both dark and light colours Whilst it can be repaired by a very limited number or specialised stonemasons (use only stonemasons as this is their trade and the master masons understand stone fully) It is expensive to correctly repair back to the original finish and shine. No just blending and a bandaid fix. We HIGHLY SUGGEST you use something like these products they will remove all stains from quartz countertops without damage...See Morebest ways to clean white quartz counter tops?
Comments (8)I have had Caesarstone for a couple of years now and I'll share some of the tips I learned from them and I've gotten over the years. -As much as you can, wipe up the spills. If you let it sit, you can soak it with warm water and dishwashing liquid. -Don't scrape hardened spills with razors or knives. Scrape them with a plastic ice pick. -Don't use abrasive liquids or solutions during cleaning. -Always use cutting boards and trivets whenever you're cutting vegetables or meat and when you need to remove a hot pot or hot pan. -Lastly, after cleaning the countertop, wipe down everything with a paper towel to prevent having watermarks. I hope these help!...See MoreQuartz counter top for SW Agreeable Gray cabinets
Comments (5)Go look at slabs in person. Some I thought I liked I hated in the showroom. I am not into the very large veiny quartz counters that are out now, I like simple with some small pattern within. We went with santamargherita vermont (opus stone) and are very happy with it. A subtle pattern and true white background, didn't want yellow or gray....See MoreRelated Professionals
