Bedroom Wall Decor Help

The wall where my tv is mounted there is a large console/cabinet. It’s 87 inches long and 40 inches tall., with a 70 inch tv above it. I also have a high vaulted ceiling. To the left of the TV id like to do some sort of reading chair with a floor lamp. I am totally stumped on how to decorate around the tv and the wall to the the right of the tv.
For reference: from the right of cabinet to the open door edge is 7 feet and to the left of the cabinet to the wall is 5 feet. I’ve also included a picture of the other side of the bedroom so you can get an idea of the “style” I’m going with. Any and all advice would be so super appreciated. Thank you!

Nothing around the TV. Get the reading corner set up and then post a picture

Great idea! That was going to be my next purchase anyway. I’ll repost once the reading book is complete.

Your room is very nice. But I think to fill that wall with art/photos, you're either going to have to have very large pieces or many of them. It's not possible to tell from the one view, but the first thing I thought when I saw your pic is that I would move the head of the bed over to that wall. I am assuming there is a window on the other side of the bed to match the one we see? If so, then that wall between them is much smaller for hanging art. It also might be possible to partially block the view of the dog crates if they are behind the bed when entering the room (or could they go on the wall the door is on, so they aren't so prominent from the door view?) Placing art above the dog crates is going to look odd and unfinished to me.

You should delete your previous post and stick with just this one if those inspopix are the way you want to go with the room. They look very contemporary and not too 30ish, which you mentioned in your other post. Search the box above for the phrase "pink guest room" to get some inspiration.

I love that color, so cozy and organic. :) Your furniture is light, which helps the brightness factor ... I’d just look for art you like and use that. Maybe canvas prints, or art with light backgrounds. Green, to me, is very neutral — you could add light blue, white, cream, lighter greens, etc. I don’t like to suggest specific art because it’s a very individual thing, but ... A map of the area, like this, would be fun — A decorative mirror might be nice, too, to reflect light and color. Definitely do a search for things like ‘art for dark green walls’ ... ‘lake art’ ... etc ... lots of inspiration comes up.

I personally would hang either one large photo or two photos above the bed (2/3 the width of the bed frame). I would also hang curtains on either side of the window to make it more cozy. I bought a big fluffy white comforter for our bed because it reminded me of a sheek hotel. Then it’s easy to add pillows or a throw blanket to add color and/or textures. I would turn that corner with the chair into a cozy little corner. Maybe add a floor lamp to hang over the chair and add a tiny little table next to it to set your coffee or book. Its hard to tell what color/style your dressers are but I would get your nightstands in different colors than the dressers so it’s not so matchy. Maybe mirrored, navy or a dark gray nightstands.

I don't see room for a reading nook there. Do you need a reading nook? Think about a dressing area instead, with a nice, good sized round upholstered ottoman and a pretty floor mirror. And place them to the right of the TV or near the closets...can't see that side of the room.

Great idea, as well! The door that you’re seeing that you’re thinking is the closet, is actually the bedroom door. The area to the left of the TV is about 5 feet. I was considering a chair with a floor lamp and maybe a small side table. it may be too small of an area for that, I should probably measure and tape it off. Thank you so much.

Cool. Yes- I meant the area to the left looks small in the photo. Is there any space to the right of the bedroom door or to the left of the nightstand?

Ok! So I’ve gotten the reading nook set up and some more decor items scattered around. So I’m posting new pics. We had 2 vertical pieces of art flanking each side of the tv… we took those down. It looked forced. I was thinking to the right of the tv a large leaning mirror and some floor plants. I don’t know! What do you guys think?
