Master Bedroom Decorating Help

Looking for new nightstands (possibly new lamps), end piece to replace ottoman at end of bed, comforter, art for walls (possibly family pics, if so, where on wall should they go)?

the rug is silvery grey from PB and the wall is benjamin Moore silver grey. I included a fabric swatch that is for a valance that I ordered for the window.

look im going for is sophisticated like a high end hotel, yet cozy. Usually shop Ethan Allen, anthro, arhaus, target, wayfair.

I personally would hang either one large photo or two photos above the bed (2/3 the width of the bed frame). I would also hang curtains on either side of the window to make it more cozy.

I bought a big fluffy white comforter for our bed because it reminded me of a sheek hotel. Then it’s easy to add pillows or a throw blanket to add color and/or textures.

I would turn that corner with the chair into a cozy little corner. Maybe add a floor lamp to hang over the chair and add a tiny little table next to it to set your coffee or book.

Its hard to tell what color/style your dressers are but I would get your nightstands in different colors than the dressers so it’s not so matchy. Maybe mirrored, navy or a dark gray nightstands.

Love those suggestions! Would it be too lamp-y with another floor lamp next to that chair Since there’s a lamp so close on the nightstand?

Hi Michelle- If your closet does not have a door, I would try to put a door on it, or if you can't figure out how to do that within your budget, then hang a curtain on a suspension rod. You can remove the word art on either sides of the window. If your dark curtains are not wide enough to close all the way across the window, please buy more panels so that they can close. Another idea for that window that gets so much sun is to get a double rod and in addition to that colored curtain get some sheer panels so that when you are there in the middle of the day to read or relax and you don't mind some light, you won't be blinded by the light. I would suggest removing the dried wreath over the bed. It is a dust catcher that is unhealthy to have right over your faces. In its place you can put some art, or if you want something soft, how about some fiber art? There are some wonderful macrame wall hangings for sale on Ebay and etsy, or you can try your hand at one yourself. You can wait and see what the room looks like after it is painted, but I think that light lamp shades would look better on your side tables. You might want to get a larger TV and mount it on the wall on either side of the door to the room. You can get the type of mount that can be raised or lowered and angled in either direction, so that even if it isn't directly opposite the bed, you can compensate for that. If the current TC is removed, you can move the dresser closer to the end of the room, and then move the bed so it is more centered on the wall where you would position the new larger TV.

I think I'm wanting to change up the space and open it up. I do like the idea of keeping rustic table tops to match the barn doors. I'm seriously looking for all and any suggestions. I'll have to add some ideas to my idea book

Maybe a plant Instead of a lamp if you think it’d be too many lamps, but I think as long as the lamps are different styles/shapes it wouldn’t look too lamp-y. Maybe since the ones on the nightstand have a larger white shade you could get one that has a small metal light fixture top.
