Very pretty room. You've done a nice job in finding accessories for your new BR. I have to agree with charlie about the frames tho. Darker, or pretty much anything other than gold frames would help with the pics not getting lost. May I ask what paint color you used? I used SW Blonde in my home (looks similar to your paint color, but yours is a bit more yellow). I have used a few gold frames in my LR. However, the frames are larger - heavily gilded portrait frame, an oil by DH's GF many years ago, and a piece DH and I purchased while traveling before the Blonde. Gold frames are tricky with that family of paint colors. While I think using the runners in a different way is a great idea, you didn't post pics of the window(s) that you need to decorate. I have seen the longer thin windows done with a runner and it looked like a custom WT. I am not a placemat or napkin made into curtain lover either, but I guess I'd like to at least see what your original thoughts were. The runners are pretty and do coordinate with the other colors in your room. How many runners do you have? While I agree they would look pretty on the dressers, from experience, I personally think they are going to be dust collectors. Like the idea of draping one across the bottom of the bed if they are long enough. Also, you haven't picked lamps. Would there be enough of that middle of the runner fabric to do a custom lamp shade? Are you planning bedside table lamps or wall lamps? Just a few thoughts.

stephf-- while I appreciate your suggestion, I really don't want to paint the antique chest of drawers. I purchased my nightstands from Ethan Allen several months ago in order to tie in with the chest, so I don't want to paint them either. I am just going to work around them. I have purchased some accessories and two pictures for over the nightstands and am having a wreath made for over the bed. I have found an oval cotton braided rug to go at the foot of my bed and plan to put rugs on either side of the bed. I have found that a couple of antique doilies soften the nightstands. It is a work in process, and I am appreciative of all of the suggestions made.

Thalfmann...very pretty...we can change up the pillows to solids with one accent pillow in a pattern....love the idea of the deep peacock blue with ivory and black...walls look more tan toned than taupe....Let me find a rug with a bit more tan in it...

Your bed is beautiful! I love your paint color and your chair works in this space. I would like to see you remove everything from the walls and all furniture except the bed, chair, dresser and bedside tables. You have the makings for an elegant, tranquil bedroom; the treadmill and the large wall-mounted digital picture frame are intruding upon that. I agree that the TV should be mounted above the dresser, and that your windows should be unobstructed. Additionally, the valences and blonds are contributing to the dated look in this room. Suggestions for you: 1. Using a corner drapery rod, add simple drapes, such as these: 2. Sheets: 3. Coverlet: 4. Pillow shams: 5. Have a bolster made for your bed in a saturated teal velvet, something like this: 6. Bedside lamps: 7. Nothing above the bed. With a TV above the dresser, your eye needs someplace to rest; I think I’d leave the rest of your walls bare (you’ll notice your pretty paint color more that way!) with the exception of one favorite framed piece - maybe the one on the wall between your TV and window. (I can’t tell you where to hand it without views of the other 2 walls)
