What do you think of this color combo for walls?
Comments (37)Here are some pictures of Gossamer blue and wedgewood blue next to Pallaidian blue They really don't show the true color and I tried everything. Don't have a picture of the PR since it is not done and there is no light fixture in there. I took a picture anyhow from outside the PR and had to focus on the ceiling fan, otherwise my camera will not focus on a blank wall. From left to right looking at bottom colors gossamer blue, palladian blue, wedgewood blue picture od PW gossamer blue on wall seafoam on ceiling These colors look a little gray on my monitor but I promise you they are not. Gossamer blue is from the Color Preview and is number 2123-40 The 2 colors on top right and middle are something else...See MoreWhat do you think of this wallpaper for a powder room
Comments (36)The room is much larger than what I was picturing too, but I still think I'd like more than just one wall. Would not do the ceiling, but I would keep the chair rail and paper above it, paint below it. I'd think about a pair of larger mirrors on the sink wall and not break the far wall with the towel bar but come up with something more interesting for hand or fingertip towels. art of that depends on the scale of the paper though -- it might not be what I am picturing either....See MoreDo You Think The Ceiling/Trim Color & Wallpaper Work Together?
Comments (57)My first thought when I saw the photo was wondering how accurate the ceiling color is, based on the nearby window -- we don't know if it's north-facing, what time of day the photo was taken etc. And it's a high gloss finish. According to the ID, https://www.instagram.com/p/CFfJZ6eJqza/ the paint color is BM Buckland Blue, which is much more similar to the lamp color than the way the paint color appears in the photo, at least on my screen, Buckland Blue is also warmer in real life than the way the color looks on the ceiling, as a cooler grey tone. It's interesting that this is area isn't an actual room, but the back staircase. I *love* the wallpaper in the Writer's Lair room, and the Mark Sikes living room (though I don't like the baby blue upholstered furniture, rug, and curtains Sikes chose). carol, from the pre-reno photos, it looks like everything except for the panelled library had already been painted, https://www.kipsbaydecoratorshowhouse.org/dallasgallery It's a remarkable effort during a pandemic, and for the very first Kips Bay show house in Dallas. I do think there may have been the idea of going over the top with the rooms to help draw attention to the inaugural Dallas effort, and perhaps with the pandemic, the idea of providing an extra sensory treat for viewers. It's terrific that they're selling virtual tours ($20 each) as well because of the pandemic, to offset the smaller number able or willing to tour in person....See MoreTotally stuck! Comments (7)I'm confused. Why do you need a rod pocket if your are using hooks and rings? I would get a linen in a color of the background. As much as I like orange, I think it will upstage the wall paper. Do you have to mount it on the outside, because the interior screen takes up the depth? Take a look on Vermont Country Store. Many of my rooms have curtains from them. I like these Sheers in Natural....See Moreilikefriday
