Help on deciding what color to paint kitchen cabinets
Comments (11)You are lucky that your cabinets are not honey oak, that orange builder-grade color. Yours actually look like they have a nice dark stain. Painting, prep, etc is a lot of work. Your other finishes are nice too, dark pulls, pretty granite. Would you consider just doing a very pretty light backsplash? If you do go with paint, be sure to use BM cabinet coat. It will help cover the grain, though probably not all. There are many posts here on GW to help you with the process. With your brown granite you might look at BM Bone White. If you are looking for whites, lean toward the warmer whites. Here is a link that might be useful: [Kitchen with BM Bone White[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/kitchen-traditional-kitchen-minneapolis-phvw-vp~363542)...See MoreHelp! Comments (42)Wow- you really are the best. Thank you. You have helped me so much. I am going to the paint store to sample golden tan. And I took the bold step (for me) of asking the painter to take on other work for a week or so until I am certain. I think that alone will make it easier for me to make a choice without the stress of having to do it so quickly. I will let you know what we go with!...See MoreNeed help deciding what color to paint the island (pic)
Comments (51)I painted my island SW Brainstorm Bronze. Here is a photo. It is a dark gray green brown color depending on the light. You can also see it in the far back in the butler's pantry on the bottom cabs. It reads darker in that space as the light is not shining directly on it. Here is a photo of it on my walls. Excuse the mess we are just moving in and haven't fully arranged everything including art....See MoreNeed help deciding on colors for cabinets/countertops
Comments (3)well, it all depends.....the pic of tile and door show similar undertones-coolish-if that is what strikes you as well, there are plenty of options with cabs and counter. Example-you could go really dark stained oak, like espresso, with some soapstone counters, or really whitish counters. or painted cabs in a white or cool green gray with any number of counters. What do you like?? Nice door and certainly a floor you could work with. The craftsman theme isn't necessary-the door is classic but could work with transitional or country or traditional styles....See Moresusan49417
