Blanco Diamond 'D' sink vs. Diamond rectangle sink
Comments (7)I think we have the 'D' shape, in a 30'' cabinet, for the clean-up sink. Really like it! There were plenty of moments of self-questioning and I was very worried about not having the faucet centered (the sink is centered on a bank of three windows) but we are very pleased with how it turned out. For the faucet we selected, we actually ended up cutting into the cabinet on the right, so the control valve could be installed and we also pulled the sink as far forward as possible. Just cleaned the sink the first time in a month or so since it was installed; used baking soda and it cleaned up fairly well. But... will look for something I can spray on. Guess posting pictures is like entertaining.... one way to get the cleaning done :) From Recently Updated Side note -- I love, love, LOVE the faucet (Kohler Karbon). It's such fun to use and so handy. I'm rather cranky I didn't use the same one for the prep area (what do you mean I have to pull down?!!). The single motion to adjust and keep the spray exactly where you want it is so natural....See MoreWorkstation sink vs main sink + prep sink? Tell me what you have!
Comments (61)Stacy, I have the Akurum line which had the split top drawer standard. It can be done by mounting a divider to attach the rails to. That is how I do the individual trash pullouts under the sink (see the under sink photo I posted earlier) . I dont necessarily think split drawers are an advantage because you lose about 3 1/2” storage. I like the off-white Bodbyn. It’s not yellow in my kitchen which does have warm lighting @ 3000K and lots of wood which causes it to photograph with a yellowish cast. Look back at my daughter’s kitchen to see how the Bodbyn looks next to bright white subway tile. She has warm lighting too. Also, Ikea has a new door, Akstad that is bright white. Hope you find something you like....See MoreRight drain workstation sink brands
Comments (22)I don't think that is a design flaw of your Elkay sink as I routinely have to sponge small bits of food into the drain with a sponge. Mine is a 36" copper farm house model with left offset drain. It isn't a big deal as I had to do that with my prior standard Kohler enamel sink with center drain as any small bits of food adhere to the surface of a sink. To me it is part of the final part of cleaning up - I take a sponge and use Dawn to clean it which includes getting rid of any invisible grease on the surface....See MoreWorkstation sinks. Comments (28)Meridee, that's where we are now too. We are definitely getting a workstation sink now and have decided on the 45 inch, but can't decide which one. We have it down to the Krause and the Create Good Sinks. We like the ledges better on the Krause and the radius of the corners (easier to clean) on the "Create Good Sinks". But we like the drain and the fact that you can get double basins on the Create Good Sinks. But are those features worth paying twice as much for? $900 for the Krause vs $1800 for the Create Good Sinks. The photos are to show the difference in the radius of the corners. First one is the Krause, second one Create Good Sinks....See Morejhouse2023
