I don't think the top rug is going to work with your floor AT ALL, at least if the colors I'm seeing are halfway true. The gold in the rug is just going to make the floor look purple. The second rug is a maybe, as it has a variety of colors including some cooler tones.

Another tip- if you live in a decent-sized city, see if there is a wholesale district or a fabric or garment district or someplace you can get fabrics at a discount. You will save a whole lot of money that way on great fabric and also trims. You can also find pillow forms, etc, and if you don't sew, stores like that are the place to ask for referral for seamstresses to sew up your pillow covers as well. Another great choice for fabric for pillow covers with delicious color options is shot silk. That is silk made with a different color thread for the warp and the weft. That gives it a marvelous iridescent quality. You can get it in a dupioni that has slubs like a raw sil or not. Here is an example that might go well with your colors, and again, try to get some remainder pieces. This is purple with orange. Another thing you can do, if you live in or near a city with a sizable Indian population, you can look at the shops that sell saris. You can purchase used vintage silk sari borders (also spelled saree) to use to make pillow covers. You can also look online. The sari silk is often in the most vibrant colors, and you can get silk shot with intricate gold threading, and the best designs are on the sari borders. Often when the sari is old and worn, it is discarded or cut up, but the border at the end called the the pallu which has the most intricate design/border is still in great shape and is sold and can be used for many purposes such as a shawl or made into a throw pillow. For saris I like Kanjeevarum or Benarsee silk the best, (there are many variations on the spellings) but of course they cost the most. Their silk is the heaviest, highest quality, and with the most gold threads in the most intricate designs. But of course, the most important thing is the condition. You can buy online, but you can't assess quality and condition online, and with something that has been worn and is vintage, that is important. Especially if you will be making it into a pillow cover that will be a mere inches from your guests eyes.

Your current setup is lovely. I wouldn't rush to replace that rug, particularly not with something that's going to be so neutral and a bit "meh" in comparison to what you now have. I think your current rug plays so nicely with your furnishings that I'd wait until everything was in place in the new house and then see how you feel. Our old things have a way of looking surprisingly different in a new home. If you do decide to replace the rug, I'd personally opt for something with a pattern and more personality than the rug possibilities you've shared. A classic Persian style is always appropriate, and particularly nice in an old bungalow.

If we go with the rug, curtains are next. What color? I have already brought home a light stone which my daughter said was not enough contrast to the sofa. Khaki didn’t look great behind the couch. Off white was very plain. I am avoiding gold after living and decorating through the 70’s and 80’s and early 90’s. The walls are a very light tan - Valspar Desert Fortress. And not being repainted. This is why I don’t make major changes very often. Yes, my house and furniture are not a cookie cutter look.
