An introduction

When Jasper died a few months ago, we told ourselves that we would be content with the 5 felines we have left. We still mourn him and tears often come unbidden.

Richard went to the post office downtown yesterday. On his way home he had to travel the "Railroad Avenue Overpass". The light turned green and as he moved forward, he saw motion on the right side of the overpass. A teensy brown kitten stumbled off the walk and into the road. Richard stopped traffic, then walked to the front of his car. The kitten, unscathed, walked out from under the car and right up to him on wobbly legs.

I've no idea how a kitten that young got to be in such a place. There are no houses in that area. He/She doesn't appear to want to nurse, but the eyes are still blue. I'm guessing no more than 5 or 6 weeks old.

Of course, Richard brought the baby home, took a couple of pictures and sent them to me at work. Knowing that 5 is enough, we still feel that this was meant to be. So, it is with great pleasure that I introduce you to Choo Choo. Pun intended.
