Backordered GE Cafe appliances?
Comments (2070)@HU-699694957 I also submitted my rebate form July 2022 and still no pan. Was told end of January they were expected to ship no later than the end of February. Well end of April still no pan! I guess they are as rare as the Cafe induction ranges. I do love the range- well worth the wait. The camera mode on the app doesn't work but it's not a game changer for me....See MoreYour new year goals & health news and recipes
Comments (237)Sharon, I use the soft floral foam (light green and it comes in rectangular blocks from the craft store/dept). I cut a piece to fit a tupperware dish. Make it a tight fit! Then I cut it into 2 inch cubes (doesn't have to be perfect..just run your knife through the foam that was inserted into the tupperware.) Poke a little hole, with a bamboo skewer, into the center of each cube. Fill the container about 3/4 way with water. I have well water but I used to do this with city water, doesn't seem to matter. Make your passiflora cuttings about 5 inches. You dont want the super soft ends but not so far down the stem that the nodes are really far apart. Take your cutting with a leaf node at the bottom. Cut off most of the leaves. Dampen the bottoms of the cuttings in water then dip them into dry rooting hormone like Rootone. Then poke one into each hole. Put them in a warm bright place. I've done them on a windowsill in Spring or under grow lights. Keep the water level up. You will be able to see the roots growing out through the clear tupperware. You can then take it and plant it in a cup or pot with potting soil etc. This actually works well with most vines and some semi hardwood plants. Some passies I did a few yrs ago. Sorry for typos Im on my phone lol....See MoreNovember Week 3 Brrrrrr!
Comments (39)Three seed catalogs came in the mail today. I've decided that I'm not going to start seeds or even think much about the garden in January, and instead, focus on a few projects indoors. Watching Hoarding Buried Alive today makes me want to clean out cabinets and drawers. Stella left this afternoon. I always feel sad when she leaves. I got the eggs ready to devil and baked cookies today. Tom got the brisket ready to smoke. He's putting it on the smoker right now. It takes like 12 hours. It's been a slow day really. It's nice. We did go out to buy new outdoor Christmas lights. Store was packed. Here's a little rant. Ethan always wanted colored lights on our house, but our last house really "called" for white lights. So, after moving out here we did colored lights for him. They began going out in 2019 (how was that 3 years ago! It seems like last year!) but we used them anyway. Then bought new lights in 2020. I wanted a light, fairy-like look, so did a type of icicle light. They were so pretty, but last year, in 2021, sections of the lights were out. After a year! We already had them on the house and Tom couldn't figure out the issue. So, this year I got online and read reviews. Apparently, the lights purchased after 2019 have that issue. ALL the review after 2019 were bad. And there's nothing that fixes the issues. So, we decided to just buy new lights and went with a cheap warm white. Hopefully it lasts more than a year. But, if it doesn't, we won't be out tons of money. Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!...See MoreAugust 2023 - How is your build going?
Comments (128)@g m The garage floors were just over $6300. Unfortunately, since they've been installed we've started noticing several spots that are bubbling. We're very disappointed and I'm not sure what the remedy will be. (My SO wants them to grind it all off and start again with a different company - I'm hoping we can do something less drastic. It's in our GC's hands.) Note that this is an older garage and not part of a new build. Not sure if that makes a difference (they did fill cracks and pits ahead of time), or if it made a difference that they started the work during a stretch of 100* / high humidity days. Sigh....See Morefloral_uk z.8/9 SW UK
