Hi! I love PA and its history. I lived out in the eastern part of the state for a while and the Harley Davidson plant is pretty cool...so are the little towns of Amish (as suggested above). If you're heading up to Erie (Presque Isle is GREAT!!!!) you could hit Oil City and check out the great old mansioins and museums. If you're heading north, check out the Allegheny Nat'l Park, too...there are tons of great places to stay for a night in a cabin on the lake. If you head south, you can always hit the city of Pittsburgh and take in the history there. The science center, station square, museums and strip district are always fun...even for those of us born and raised out here!!!!!!! You could always hit the PS grand canyon, too...heard it is beautiful! Hope you enjoy the trip and I can't wait to hear where you went!!! Take care and journey safe! ~k

Awning windows don't vent as well as casements because they don't "catch the wind". Perhaps you could more than three casements. Or use tall gliders or double-hungs, though both would obstruct the view more than awnings. You might want to take a look at Marvin's website as the company offers many window types. The Professional Resources for each window type show the minimum and maximum dimensions.

I love my Miele CSO. I will be installing Miele's bottom of the line oven in addition to an XXL CSO in my new house which comes with a range and no electric wall oven. I have had Bosch ovens in the past and they were great too. No way would I try anything owned by Samsung in the kitchen. No Wolf for fear of the enamel chipping. Blue Star wall ovens and some GE ovens are well liked here too. Good luck on the hunt.

Thanks for the tip. We have experience with ADA showers and shower curtains, and it was not very good. The only person I would trust not to get water everywhere is myself. Not the children, the grandchildren or overnight guest. If the bathroom were on the first floor over an unfinished area, I might consider. Being over my breakfast room area with sheetrock, or possible T&G ceilings, I think not. Now, I am no dummy... I know water can get on the floor with the use of a shower door...but not as much. Plus, there will not be the dreaded shower curtain sticking to bodies thing going on with a door. I have two different brands of doors, and styles to take a closer look at. I plan to discuss with my builder, again. Thank you to all!!!
