The furniture looks fine to me. If it is in good condition, you can probably just buy new cushions to make the pieces match or blend better with each other. I would rearrange. Put the loveseats perpendicular to each other and arrange the chairs next to each other. The primary loveseat (facing the view) should have end tables on each side. I agree that a new rug would make a big difference. Nice porch!

I live in south OC CA and we now have brown widows infiltrating our area... more so than blacks. Widows are very resistant to poison and drowning and we have them under everything and in every dark crevice. I found that the best way to to actually smash the ones you see and clean webs up, then go through the outdoor furniture and plug all holes with a cut thin packing foam. It is weather resilient and any spider inside will also die off. We have been allowing our dozens of lizards in our yard to have at them but now there are just way too many and I have grandchildren I don’t want bit. A widow bite is extremely painful and can put people in the hospital. Good luck everyone.

Hi rhizo_1, I've seen a number of tiny spiders, which make a mess of webs and some long-legged ones as well but I'm more concerned about the black widows and brown recluses. My next door neighbour was bitten by a spider, she thinks it may have been a black widow, while watering her plants in late June. Her reaction to the venom was very bad -she was wearing flip-flops and the bite was on the side of her foot, near the heel- she wound up in the ER and the healing was painful and rather slow, at least 6 weeks. She has an exterminator that sprays in and around her house periodically and still... I do as you do: broom, blower, vacuum daily. I'm very tired of it. And a week after my neighbour was bitten, I found (and killed) a black widow while inspecting one of my plants.
