I would unify the color scheme, something to compliment the brick

the gable color on everything, including the garage door.

Brighten/lighten up the entry, I'd paint the front door white.

Now that I enlarged the image, I can see that there are cedar shakes over the garage door. I might consider painting those the color of the trim.

Now that I have seen different garage doors on the home, I like the more simplified design better. I think it complements your windows. No need for shutters on this house.

I would remove and replace the dwarf evergreen in the planting bed, but that can be tackled in a year or so.

IMO, you need to pull a color from your brick and paint the house that color. Get those color samples from the paint store and put them next to the brick to find the right color.

My house was green. When I was looking for a new color for my brick home, I got lots of those little cards and taped them to my brick. I ended up using the lightest color in my brick as a paint color. My neighbors came by and thanked me for changing the color of my house. It fits more harmoniously in the landscape.

I needed a new garage door as well. I found a garage door company that applies cedar to the front of steel garage doors. It was less expensive than the wood doors from major manufacturers. I stained the cedar to match the house color.

Thanks so much everyone for the replies, going to grab some swatches to see what can be pulled from the brick and appreciate the other suggestions as well with respect to brightening the entry, garage door, landscaping, and the mockups.

Whatever you do, I wouldn't paint the shingles and the siding over the garage door two different colors. Given the gray roof, I might think about doing a dark gray blue color for the siding. Some color combo ideas:

It’s hard to tell for sure. Is your roof the gray-ish color it appears on my screen? Can you post a closeup of the brick?

Except for the garage doors, the main thing it needs is power washing. You may be surprised once you do that. It has nicer and more interesting landscaping than what your previous house has. It is all on a beautiful lot too. Congratulations on your new home.

@Sabrina Alfin Interiors Good point on shingles above garage, when mocking it up that makes a huge difference and makes it less "welcome, this is a garage door" I like the dark grey/blue idea, do you have any trim color suggestions for that palette?

Pick a gray blue from the historic color palettes of any of the big paint manufacturers. They will have one. Benjamin Moore's Phillipsburg Blue is a great option:

I'd actually reverse the colors here: use the blue for the siding/shingles and the taupe for the trim.

@Sabrina Alfin Interiors Here's a rough mockup with the blue gray hardie that you mentioned with some other adjustments (including a garage door with square windows which I'm not fond of but was tired of searching for the perfect one). Recognizing as I look back at reference photos that's probably too much on the darker side.

I agree about picking up a medium tone in the brick, or maybe a medium sage green, either way, several shades darker than the light colored paint that's there now.

Yeah, that's quite a bit darker than what I'm proposing. Go get some samples.

Way too dark. Sabrina’s Collingwood and Phillipsburg look nice. You have to test colors on the house. They often appear much lighter/brighter on the exterior.

Going blue is as bad as the current green.

You're in a country setting. Use it as inspiration for the colors.

Jimmy, when you get the chance you can upload a closeup of the brick on different sites, like Sherwin Wms. It will read the brick and give you color suggestions to check.

I would go off-white body and white trim.
