Thanks for the feedback. My preference is for a stationary sectional with a traditional look (nothing modern), don't need recliners and want firm cushions due to back issues...I attached a photo of my current couch. It took me 8 months to find the Broyhill and thought we found a gem with the firm Duracoil cushions. This was our 3rd Broyhill and we still have a leather couch that we love and the other one lasted 17 years with a houseful of kids. Broyhill has gone way downhill and the Duracoil technology is a bust! The thought of picking out another couch makes me cringe...off to Pilgrim tonight. We might go with something in leather.

I had checked out their website already and it sounds good. I just want to make sure that it's a quality product and not one of those "you get what you pay for" things. Have you gotten your sofa yet and are you happy with it? What about the quality of the fabric and the feel of the cushions? I want a sofa that is pretty cushy and I was going to upgrade to the down option. Please let me know your impressions - it would be really helpful. I was also researching a sofa from Carolinachair.com. They seem to have a little bit better quality and better fabric choices, but the sofa I want is also about $2,000 more and I don't know that it's worth spending the extra money. Any input is appreciated.

Just to update, we finally ordered a sectional from Century. It is L shaped with a loveseat on one wall and a sofa length on the other. The good thing is that it is 43" deep so it should be very comfortable to lay on. We chose a chenille type fabric in a greenish tone. We started the room's decor off by picking 2 oriental rugs and pulling colors from that. The sofa comes with 7 throw pillows, so I chose 2 different fabrics for 4 of those. We'll see if it works or not when it comes in! On another note, once we started to choose decor, we realized the color on the walls was pukey and we had to get the painters back to change from blue to brown. I'm so glad we did that. It really warms up a basement room with no windows. The lighting is what made color selection so tricky. Also in there, we got a leather recliner from Hancock & Moore. And the really neat looking Wisteria Barn door coffee table. Funny thing is that when it arrived, it really did smell like a...barn door! Fortunately that smell has disapated.

BKO, you really need to go to a furniture store and give the "butt test" to some sectionals with chaises to see if they will work for you. Being short, plump, arthritic, and not getting any younger ;-) I found the chaise part quite awkward to get up from, especially on a very deep/squooshy sectional as so many are, so they were eliminated from consideration almost immediately. Other people think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread so you really have to try it and decide for yourself. Even if a PB store near you doesn't have the right model, they're made by Mitchell Gold so you could look for a retailer selling MG, or just look for something with similar dimensions and proportions. Personally, I think that a regular style sectional would be better for sleepovers. This is the one we picked out: Flexsteel Jennings but envision one side with three cushions, not counting the corner, instead of two. It came out to something like 90x110-ish, luckily DH isn't overly tall so we both have room to stretch out. I really liked the cut-back arms for reducing the visual mass (but there's still enough arm to rest a head on comfortably! LOL) and having all square cushions means they can be shifted around in hopes that they'll wear more evenly.
