I finally got the garland that goes on top of the kitchen Hoosier cabinet, from the garage to the house. In all the years I've been putting this garland up there, this year I about went nuts. It's a homemade garland I made of grapevine and boxwood ( boxwood dried out by now, I replace eventually) and red berry sprigs from Pat Catans. Anyway, I could not get it to stay up there. The more I tired, the more frustrated I got, dried boxwood leaves all over the floor, berry sprigs dropping on my head. What the heck? Finally I gave it another nudge and it's up there, precariously. I think I simply can't get in the Christmas mood like other years or something. Love the fireplace Lars. Very pretty. Everyone's photos are pretty.

The marble game is one that is still found. It just involves jumping a marble with another adjacent marble till there is just one left. The long one with the metal rings involves a serries of moves that will free the wood piece from the rings. Very tricky...I have never accomplished that. The last one is called a 'Gee Haw Whimmy Diddle'. It is a fun folk toy from the South. Do a web search to learn all about it
