Comments (30)@Derek Tarr Photography - Since you messaged me, I thought it better to post publicly about this, as others may have questions. Emily with Houzz has stated that it's acceptable for pros to link to their work if otherwise engaged in the forums, offering advice, using their work as an example, and not simply scouring the forums for opportunities to promote their products. It would appear that you have shared your work appropriately; however, there are repeat offenders who do not participate at all beyond popping up in threads and linking to their site for the purpose of trying to snag a customer. If this needs clarification, you might want to reach out to Emily with Houzz for further info....See MoreI need ideas and help
Comments (4)Cool fan! I cannot tell where the french door wall is in the living room from these pictures. It appears to be a very nice sized room. The biggest issue I would have is the piece of furniture in front of the window to the left of the fireplace. I think drapery panels would dress your room nicely, also....See MoreHelp decorate a blank wall!
Comments (15)Thanks Beverly! Your mock ups are fantastic. I played around with the layout a lot when I was starting this room. Unfortunately, the small sofa I have is still too wide to rest near the window...it would basically be tucked into the corner and meet the window frame. As for the rug, I like your suggestions but the reason I chose the teal/turquoise rug is because the living room is open to the dining room and my dining chairs are a tealish blue velvet. I was trying to connect the rooms together. I really like your mock up of the small 6 frames and small floor lamp. It fills the space nicely....See Morestairwell wall decor
Comments (11)Would one of the flags, or even 2 framed the same way be the pieces you’re looking for to hang in your stair well? Big & bold, & has impact! Just a thought. So about those heads...wow. This room looks like a multipurpose game room for kids & adults. I see 2 captains chairs - is there a table somewhere in the room? Wondering about wall above table. But, I’m looking at the wall bump out to left of tall cabinet across from bar. Is there enough space for a creative vertical arrangement of the heads on it? Not sure if there’s any danger with little ones in house if hung too low but the bump out looks like a natural room divider. Another thought - split them up & hang on both sides of window? I think I spotted snowshoes- looks like a companion to Norwegian flag - snowshoeing in the Fjords?😆...See MoreGizmo
