For years I've been fertilizing my daffs after they bloom. But I've moved, have radically different soil, and I'm seeing some info on the web to fertilize as soon as you can see them in early spring. Fall fertilizing also recommended, but by fall, I have no idea where they are.

So which is it for the spring? When you first see them or after bloom.
