white kitchen backsplash ideas

We are designing a new kitchen (new home from builder) . We wanted to get dual tone kitchen with white and wood tones. But the wood tones offered by builder are not great. So we ended up with all white kitchen.
Can you plz suggest what type of backsplash would be good? Would a wood tile backsplash look modern? What else can i do to make it more warm.

No, I think a wood tile backsplash would look odd. Like you put LVP on the wall.

This kitchen is not really "modern," it's transitional. If you want a warmer transitional look, I would suggest a tile backsplash but something with some color and dimension, like a fireclay or zellig tile. I would also trade the generic brushed stainless hardware for something in brass or bronze that has some heft and patina to it.

maybe green ...cant say the blue in the demo kitchen does much. with the large sized doors and glass fronts the tile should have some dimension / variation / or interest w the color/tone or something....... Its a big wall of white and the black counter really isnt a statement thats why I guess too pale a color like the blue just doesnt work that well in my opinion. Get to a tile store / bring samples/ maybe look for less simple/plain I guess is how you'd say it. Not sure what you like .

didn't have time to read all the answers. I have no backsplash and have never regretted it...been over 6 yrs. It is painted with BM matte...which has ceramic in it. It is as beautiful now as it was when first painted. I love the fact that I can showcase other things ...art etc in my kitchen and no competition. Also if I ever want to change it is as quick as a paint brush...expense is minimal..paint only ! All in all I think it is serene as you point out . Here is one pick. Since I have a lot of high heat cooking in my kitchen..built in deep fat fryer as well as gas cook top I can definitely speak to the longevity of paint only. c ( more at this album )

I'm with Daisychain - just say no to 3 stones in one kitchen. Alaska White is a beautiful granite. It will be the star. Both of the backsplash tiles you pictured would be wrong. The one on the right because it is busy, and also a dated look. The one on the left cause it would be stone #3 in your kitchen, and because its veining going in different directions with each tile will not go with your granite. I recommend a quiet cream subway backsplash. Not only will go, but also is a classic. Not everything in your kitchen needs to be splashy and statement-y. Keep that in mind with all your choices.

Thank you. Yes, definitely going with white. We have to make wall color choice prior to closing, so going with their white which is one shade of white I don't care for. Will be bringing in backsplash later. Just not sure what would go well with super white stone, which I love.

Personally I think shelves might be pretty to look at, depending. However, they’re kinda a PIA to keep clean and organized. Also, I don’t think they’d look nice in your kitchen. You have some nice, transitional choices. Oh, I agree that wood tile splash would look odd.

Shelves of any kind beside a range hood, will be a dust and grease magnet. Not advised.

@herbflavor gave you some great suggestions for the backsplash. Green will add a nice punch of color.

Found this one as a good example…The drawers are slab, but all of the cabinet doors are shaker. i think a modern kitchen with shaker doors is achievable with good cabinetry design and the right hardware.
