Stairwell Wall Sconce UPDATE
Several months ago I posted that I was looking to replace the wall sconce in my stairwell. https://www.houzz.com/discussions/6317745/stairwell-wall-sconce-need
This is a STOCK PHOTO similar to what I had - one 60 watt bulb and Revere Pewter walls.
The painter came much sooner than expected. I had to jump. This is what I bought and he installed. The walls are now off-white and the fixture has 2 60 watt bulbs!
I need to get out the ladder and straighten the shades. Even though the walls still look gray, they are now off white.
Slightly different angle. IRL, it is so bright and clean looking! I’m pleased. New carpet ordered. We are hoping it will be here in the next week or two.
It is nothing exciting. The upstairs is one bedroom and an en suite bathroom. It is also the only area in the house with wall-to-wall carpeting, mainly for noise damping. As I said, not exciting, but it will look clean and bright up there and I’m pleased!

Comments (6)If you are using them for function than 66 inches from the floor is the standard. Of course depending on your height you may want to lower or raise. The key is not to be able to see down into the fixture when you stand next to it. If you want them for ambient lighting I suppose any height is OK, depending on what you want to accent. Comments (8)We just bought these Bryant wall sconces for our hallway and are looking for sconces for our new kitchen. I have looked at hundreds of sconces and had not seen the Jonathan one. Of course I fell in love with it but couldn’t locate the source of the photo on Houzz. If I can get a 20% discount, I will commit. 🤞here is hoping for a year end sale. Thank you again for your help. 2 months agoNow that I have new paint and new carpet, I want new bedding. The only given is a medium yellow club chair. I want new bedding which will then require the desk chair to be recovered as well as recovering the bench that I use as a luggage stand. Below are pictures of similar pieces of furniture.
I’m leaning toward a cream/yellow/blue color scheme or cream/yellow/green.
I could move this picture from my bedroom to the guest room and use it as a jumping off point for the cream/yellow/green scheme.
