I think the off centered mirrors would drive me crazy. How much space are you lacking to mount them the original way? (too late for me to tackle the math problem). Since you can return the lights, it possible to find a slimmer sconce and still be able to mount as you planned? Can you post a link to the sconces you have?

They are clock outlets. You hang your clock on the hook and plug it into the outlet. They allow your clock to hang nice and flush to the wall. I’ve never seen the used for sconces. You can simply remove them and hang any sconce you choose on the electrical box these outlets are mounted on.

Well, I did, sort of. It was a hack I learned from a blog. I think it was this one. https://www.chatfieldcourt.com/diy-wireless-wall-sconce/ But then we moved around some stuff on walls and ended up taking down the light. I will say it did work well for as long as we had it there.

I'd like to be able to turn the lights in an outbuilding on and off from the house, as well, of course as in the outbuilding. I'd like a simple on/off switch (no dimmer) that I could install in the house, wired to power, so no batteries to mess with, that will work on its own, without any kind of home automation hub. It would be great if it could look (and work) like an ordinary toggle switch. The switch location in the outbuilding is about 150 ft from where I'd like to put the switch in the house. There's good WIFI signal in both places. RF would be fine if the range is adequate. Does such a beast exist that works relaibly? I'm finding much more complicated systems and a bunch with pretty mixed reviews. Thanks!
