direct me to online sources for faucets, pls?
Comments (3)This is a frequent question and I will sound like a broken record but can short cut your search somewhat. The most frequently mentioned online sites that seem to have the best reputation here are "Faucet Direct" and "Efaucets". They also seem to have the biggest presence in online advertising. As for myself, I have had great luck with "National Builder Supply" or one of their affiliated sites of "h.m.wallace". Because the online market is so competitive with price guarantees and freight deals I believe ultimately that you should shop for brand first then find the dealer with the best pricing, always being aware that sometimes the price will seem low then when you get to checkout you find some high freight costs (a common EBAY ploy). As for design Danze seems to have a great line of high styled contemporary fixtures but are imported and long term quality may come in question and inversely Grohe has equal style high quality and high price. I have the Grohe. A newly up and coming brand is "Showhouse" by Moen which seems to represent a new high style, especially their "green Tea" oriental influence collection at a moderate price and great lifetime guarantee. Probably too much info but hopefully it will give you a good start. Happy shopping....See MoreNew replacement faucets for my old Shelf Back Sink
Comments (18)I bought this exact sink with original hardware and legs for my bathroom. Does anyone have any tips on the best way to mount it? It came with two legs (no towel bars) and no mounting bracket. There are no slits in the back, only underneath. I see these beauties installed in bathrooms all over the internet, but no word on how people mount them. Any tips are appreciated! Btw I also asked the nice people over at deabath and am waiting to hear back. But figured maybe you would might know. Thanks!...See MoreDiscontinued versions of Grohe Ladylux Cafe
Comments (0)I intend to get a Grohe Ladylux Cafe (model #33755) faucet for my clean-up sink. I would like something slightly smaller for my prep sink, but I want a pull-out spray. I found two models that appear to be discontinued (#33765 and 33757). There are still some sources for these faucets. Does anyone have either of these faucets? Better yet, does anyone have both the larger model and one of the smaller ones? I wonder why they were discontinued, and if it would be a mistake to purchase a discontinued product. I also wonder if the finish on these discontinued faucets is the same as on the larger model (stainless steel). Thanks for any help....See MoreHow To Buy a Faucet
Comments (58)@ winonelson I'm sorry you did not get an answer, which is unusual on this forum. California has recently declared through executive order by Jerry Brown that bathroom sink faucets sold in the Golden State after 1/1/2016 may not have a flow rate greater than 1.2 gpm and kitchen sink faucets are limited to 1.8 gpm. As goes California, so goes North America, so I suspect that getting the 2.2 gpm faucet is going to get harder, not easier. Here's a trick, however. Almost all faucet flow limiters are built into the aerator, which can be removed and replaced with another aerator that allows for more flow. Even though the faucet you may be considering is rated at 1.8 gpm, there is a chance you can get an aerator from either the faucet company or an independent faucet parts supplier that has a higher flow limit. It will require some research and telephone work, but it can be done....See MoreSally T
