Please help with outdoor wicker furniture
Comments (11)Thank you for all of the help. I posted this same question on another forum that I frequent and low and behold Kmart of all places has some wonderful resin wicker furniture that looks almost exactly like what I was looking at for 3/4's the price. I ordered a full size sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table and 2 end tables. They are heavy, almost the same color and while the cushions aren't what I showed (they will be yellow) I will add colorful pillows and will be great. I am thrilled and they are going to be delivered in less then 2 weeks for everything! I've got some power washing to do and then some painting and it's going to look terrific. I have to hold off a bit because of weather but I'm excited. I've been using old furniture out there for the last 4 years and this will be a fresh new start along with all the new landscaping that I worked on last season in the backyard (worked by behind off!!!). Thank you again....See Morewicker furniture
Comments (2)I bought a set last year made by Northcape International and I've been very happy with it. The line is called Tybee but there are many different styles. The cushions are super comfortable. I bought locally but if you google it there are lots of online dealers. It's pretty high end but not as expensive as RH and supposed to be much better quality. Mine has been in the elements for a year (though the cushions have been stored) and looks brand new....See MoreAll Weather Furniture For Wet (cool) Climate?
Comments (5)We live in Central NJ. We got our resin wicker set from Costco over a year ago (April, 2009). It consists of a sofa, two chairs, two ottomans, and a trunk for a coffee table. It's on a covered front porch and we love it...it's nicer than our living room furniture (and cost more too). We paid $1800 for the set. This past winter I had noticed that the cushions had some areas where it looked like a hole was forming and the fabric started to unravel (Sunbrella fabric). Smaller than the size of a pencil eraser. I took out my receipt, scanned it, took photos of the holes, and contacted the company (Agio), and they promptly sent out 3 replacement cushions. I'm very happy with the furniture and the service I received from the company. I do now believe that the holes were caused by squirrels and not by any defect in the material or workmanship. I mistakingly left the cushions outside and should have brought them inside so the squirrels didn't have cushioned furniture to have their meals on. Here is a link that might be useful: Agio USA...See MorePlease tell me about your patio furniture
Comments (17)I've had a Plow and Hearth all weather wicker chase for years that has sat out under the privet arch in the summer time the entire season day and night, brought in around October. Never had any problems with it, condition is still great, maybe the very bottom of the legs get dirty now and then esp. if it has rained but no biggie. I see no signs of sun fading either, tho it does not sit in full sun. Perhaps that might be a factor. Plus this piece was expensive so it probably makes a difference in the quality of the resin wicker. I use an aluminum "wrought iron look" table and chairs outside, without cover, and it is probably 12yrs. old now. It also stays out all summer long until Fall. This however will get white patches all over the top and in the carvings, I think it's called "salts"(?). It will clean up using a plastic scratch pad tho. In recent years it has acquire a green cast, most likely because it sits in a half shade/half sunny area. That also will clean off but with more elbow grease but I'm lazy. Sort of makes it look antique! ha....See Moremrykbee
