x-post: NXR 48" range owners, please tell me about your ovens
Comments (0)I have a few questions: (cross posting in kitchen forums, as well) -Can you fit 9 x 13 pans in the smaller oven? 12 hole muffin tins? -If they do fit in the smaller oven, are you happy with the way they bake? I've read extensive reviews on here, and one person mentions having to shuffle their sheets of cookies and biscuits around in the larger oven in order to get them to brown evenly. Have you found this to be the case? -How long does it take each oven to get up to temperature? Thanks for any help you can offer! : )...See MorePlease tell me about your walnut floors
Comments (20)I had site-finished walnut floors with a natural satin finish stain. I loved them the first day we moved in because they were beautiful, but I would never get them again. They dent and scratch so easily and show every spec of dust. I would sweep in the morning and they would look dirty again before lunch time. Also, we are not hard on our floors but they looked awful after just a few months of living there. There were little dents everywhere from high heels and scratches everywhere from pets. As a side note, I have had hardwood floors before (oak and hickory) and had no problem maintaining them and keeping them looking new. We had to have them re-finished before listing our house for sale because they looked so bad! They did look beautiful again after the refinishing, though. We chose not to live in our house while it was on the market just to keep the floors looking new! The hardwood floor finishers we received quotes from all said that walnut floors are very hard to site-finish because of the smooth grain they show everything....See MoreOwners of NXR 48" ranges--please tell me about your ovens

Comments (44)I went to my new dentist today and everything went fine, as far as I could tell, but I would have liked to have seen the X-rays myself to examine the quality and resolution of them. I could tell a huge difference in the X-rays I got in MDR and the ones I got in Desert Hot Springs, which is why the dentist in DHS could tell that I did not need a root canal. No upselling at the new dentist's office, and I think the only thing extra they sell is teeth whitening, which they did not even mention to me. The office is not in an particularly upscale neighborhood - houses in the area sell for only $1.3M, which is low for the Westside. It took less than 3 minutes to get to his office because I made the traffic light green, and the office is only a mile from my house. My only complaint was that there was soft-rap music in the waiting room, which did not make me feel more comfortable. I prefer offices with no music at all, but the music at Ralphs market is worse - it sounds like the screaming vocalists on American Idol. Screaming does not make you a good vocalist. In public places, I prefer instrumental music, if they must have any music at all. In one dentist's office, I told him to turn off the TV while I was there, as I was unable to mute the commercials. I can be entertained/distracting by looking out of the windows....See Morechispa
