Best way to ruin ice cream for me is to add nuts. I'll still eat it but I'll be unhappy about it. Best way to ruin brownies for me is to add nuts. Those I won't eat. I used to say I like nuts but not in my food. That's not quite true anymore but please leave my ice cream and brownies alone!

I don't eat very much ice cream any more, but I love pecans or peanuts in it or on top with some caramel sauce.

Glenda, my favorite ice cream is Baskin-Robbins Rocky Road!!

I love peanut buster parfait. Also love butter pecan. But my very favorite ice cream of all time is Baskin and Robbins pralines and cream. Sure! I'll take nuts with ice cream.

Not a fan of nuts or candy pieces in my ice cream. I didn't even like wet nuts as a kid but I do now.

My favorite ice cream, which I haven't had in ages, is Emack & Bolio's Almond Coconut Bar (preferably with hot fudge on it) so yes, I love nuts in ice cream.

No thank you!

One of our favourite flavours is coffee flavoured icecream with orange sauce and chocolate coated almonds swirled through it.

Depends on the ice cream. Without nuts Spumoni is just another Neapolitan variation. Do not get me started on the rarely produced black walnut ice cream with the idea that it should not have nuts in it.

Rocky Road is my favorite flavor as well but I pick out the nuts. The pieces are too big, they are too hard for my teeth and I don't like almonds anyway. Now if they were walnuts or pecans and a bit more finely chopped, I'd be okay with them.

Depends on the ice cream. I also find some brands do specific flavors I like better than others. Right now my freezer holds Bordeaux Cherry (Umpqua) Strawberry(Tillamook) Rocky Road, Triple Vanilla and Butter Pecan (Sunnyside Farms). Don't really care for designer ice creams. Cold Stone is disgusting. I love Marianne's (Small Santa Cruz shop) that vends their product locally. They make a white spumoni to die for.

Yes please, unless they're walnuts. I don't much care for them in anything.

I love nuts! Walnuts or pecans in ice cream are my favourite. Yes to walnuts in fudge, yes to walnuts in cookies. I always add ground nuts to a base for most kind of squares.

My morning oatmeal always has a small handful of walnuts added to it. I’m okay with almonds or hazelnuts but I prefer walnuts or pecans.

Butter pecan and butter almond used to be favorites, but nowadays I like my ice cream smooth - no chewing.

I don’t mind the nuts, much, but my favorite is simple vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. Even vetter if it is hot fudge sauce. The contrast of the chocolate and vanilla, hot and cold, that’s simple perfection. okay, maybe some salted peanuts on top for the sweet-salty contrast. Is that Tin Roof Sunday?

Rocky Road is delicious! I cannot stand anything with cookies or brownies in it. Ew!

Maple Walnut is a favourite of mine! I'll also add a handful of nuts and chocolate chips to plain vanilla ice cream.

Years ago, I was a desk clerk at a business hotel in Dallas. One night, a fellow checks in and his corporate host asks if I can have a couple of spoons sent up to the room. Certainly, sir, says I, but, um, spoons? The host holds up a sack and says, this Yankee has never had Blue Bell Ice Cream. I ask, ”Cookies and Cream?” ”Of course!” says the host, and we smile conspiratorially. Cookies and cream was new in the early ’80s, and Blue Bell, well, as their ads said, it tastes so good because the cows think Brenham is heaven.

So was Cookies and Cream ice cream.

I'm not usually fond of ice cream with nuts. One exception. Haagen Daz makes a vanilla swiss almond that has toasted whole almonds in it.

That one - I do like.

Love nuts in ice cream. And I love Cold Stone ice cream. Yum! 😋

I agree about butter pecan. I also like wet walnuts but haven’t had them in years.

Don't eat a lot of ice cream but when I do it's Jamocha Almond Fudge or Maple Walnut, so yes for nuts for me!

Jamocha Almond Fudge, Rocky Road, pistachio gelato. yep!

Maple walnut a favorite here, too.

Butter pecan is a favorite of mine.

And sometimes I get a real craving for vanilla ice cream with Hershey's chocolate syrup, and salted peanuts sprinkled on top. Oh my, I want some now!

I have to admit ignorance about Wet Walnuts. I may have seen them sometime in my life but do not have a clue as to what they are.

schoolhouse, where I come from that's known as a Tin Roof sundae. Delicious!

I love walnuts in my favorite chocolate ice cream, but I love wet walnuts even better. No recipe needed for my wet walnuts, just add maple syrup to the walnuts. Yum!

Rocky Road is one of my favorites but it has to have almonds not walnuts. I also like Jamoca Almond Fudge.

I like nuts in ice cream. Jamoca almond fudge, butter pecan, rocky road.

I eat very little ice cream, except on holiday in Italy, but I love any kind of nuts in any kind of food. Vanilla with some crunchy unsweetened peanut butter and a little honey stirred through is tasty. I’m not a big fan of ready made fancy flavours. They're usually too sickly for me.

I like black walnut ice cream.

Sue

Pistachio rules!

Never heard of maple walnut ice cream. Is it a local thing? National brand?

I really dislike nuts in ice cream. The texture of them is off-puttingto me. Yuck.

My father loved maple walnut ice cream!

I love nuts. All kinds. I absolutely adore them and eat nuts as a snack almost every day.

I love ice cream. All kinds - except any with nuts. I absolutely adore any smooth texture ice cream, but alas I'm a lactose-intolerant post-menopausal woman who is battling her body's desire to plump up....so yeah, it's mostly a no-go for me for various reasons.

It's funny how much I enjoy them independently of each other, but don't enjoy them combined in any way.

Jamaica Almond Fudge or plain coffee ice cream - I them both. Nuts or no nuts.

Plain old Butter Pecan used to be my "go to" favorite. But, not so much anymore.

Right now I have a pint (oversize pint) of Deep Dark Chocolate from a local

Creamery...and have to force myself to just have a small dish at a time. :) Can

always drink a thick, double chocolate Malt too.

I feel that the manufacturers add bulk ('cookie' pieces, etc.) to ice cream to lower their costs. Many brands in big boxes are largely air and sugar.

I hadn't realized that Unilever owns Ben & Jerry's and many other brands of ice cream.

I remember our first Westie licking the last of a carton of butter pecan ice cream and leaving a tidy pile of pecan pieces in the bottom. He decided those things were 'foreign objects'.

I do like nuts. I add a big handful of nut pieces to every box of the Great Grains cereal we alternate with Morning Summit -- and oatmeal (me).

When I make chocolate ice cream, I usually add finely chopped toasted hazelnuts to it, and instead of vanilla, I use Frangelico, to enhance the hazelnut flavor. I never use vanilla in ice cream unless I am making vanilla ice cream.

I've also made pistacchio ice cream, which is mostly finely ground nuts.

I love the combination of chocolate and nuts.

I do not like butter pecan ice cream, but that might be because of the butter flavor. However, I do like butterscotch.

In or on, I don’t care. I love pecans and walnuts and occasionally macadamia, especially toasted and sprinkled on ice cream.

I like most nuts (though not pecans) but not in ice cream.

I like nuts in ice cream. Now I only have ice cream bars for portion control. One bar a day, I like Haagen Dazs bars.

I used to eat Drumstick Ice Cream Cones when I was a child, and they had peanuts on top of them. I was never a huge fan of peanuts, but I did like them on the Drumsticks.

FWIW, thought of this discussion yesterday, when I listened to this episode from Planet Money - about whether or not there might be some collusion going on in the premium ice cream aisle at your local supermarket - smooth vs. chunky...

I like putting chocolate chips on top of my ice cream. The cold makes them crunchy, and I love that. I really prefer soft serve ice cream but can’t get it at home.
