I don't think so at all - you could definitely go with chrome in the bathroom. One resource I've used to see what may be considered 'acceptable' is the Houzz website. They've got thousands of remodel pictures, most of which were done by designers/architects - I have noticed that there are a lot of high end homes with ORB door knobs, but chrome in the bathrooms. Lots of postings also have pictures for other rooms, so you can see how they've carried out whole house remodels and what finishes they used throughout. Hope that helps - just my opinion! I love the lighting. the shower curtain was in one color but of course it’s hard to know if a fabric color online will be the same. the seatch does come in the lighter color you saw, Design Interior South, but it looks so washed out. mom wondering if it was a bad sample and I thought of calling them ...the shower curtain isn’t the best for the spot and I haven’t used it so I may pack it up and send it back. I had just hung it for photos. Plus the linen material isn’t practical for that bathroom .. but the style is so cute. no I did not price that out yet but plan to.!!! i like your taste Design Intetior South!! Thank you Home Chef!! Hmm. Well, I am usually somewhat in favor of not worrying about mixing metals. But I am not sure in this case what you suggest is advisable, nor that it will fix your "contrast" concerns. I would consider something other than gray on the walls to avoid a completely gray and white color scheme, and would leave the fixtures as you have them.

I just read everything you wrote about mixing metals in a bathroom. My major fixtures; sink, shower, bath, and sconces are all polished chrome. I would like to bring in some warmth from the gold in the shower tile, that will also be used as the countertops for the vanities. Can I use a brass (or gold) mirror with the chromes sconces and change vanity hardware to brass? Please help! Thank you!
