Comments (3)Am I wrong to think that this may not be the best layout for your furniture? I just get the feeling that the loveseat should go where the sofa is and vise -versa. The loveseat on the other wall would not make the light switches such an issue and would fit better between the door opening and window. But I also see you have a shelving unit... A larger lamp to bring the eye up would also balance those windows out better....See MoreLiving Room decor help!
Comments (5)Pretty room. I'd move the black bookcase to the opposite corner away from the window (where your baby chair is located). In its old place, comsider a floor plant, like a fiddle leaf fig - examples below, I don't t think this room needs two more short bookcases /furniture pieces. Why a floor plant? The added cool greenery will offer a beautiful contrast to your red warm-toned rug. I see you have one plant on the mantle, but it isn't enough to give the contrast that's needed....See MoreLiving Room Decor Help!
Comments (6)How would hubs feel if you sold the couch? Is it the money he's worried about? Can the sectional be taken apart easily? Maybe taking it apart and using just certain parts of it may be an option. Regarding the rug, I like the selections on overstock.com. I don't have a problem with you mixing metals, since you have a pretty cohesive look going on here. Items on the console? You can leave it empty if there's a very small space between the tv and the console. You can go to your local art gallery for ideas. Also Michaels craft store and get some items. Measure the area between the console and the tv. I'd put anything like small sculptural items to low plants. Vary the heights and colors of the items to keep it interesting. https://www.houzz.com/photos/query/tv-console-decor-contemporary/nqrwns That's all I can advise for now....See MoreLiving Room Decorating Help Needed
