How to make this room look better?
It’s a square room with 2 windows on one side and 2 closet on the other side. As you can see in the picture.
Without changing the color of the curtain, what color of bed frame I should get?
I’m thinking to replace the 6 cubes organizer, chair and the dresser. Kinda want to get a different color of dresser under the TV and rearrange the furniture on the window side. What would be a better furniture and color to get?

Comments (7)Try to focus on coordinating materials and colors. Right now you have plastic storage in different colors, some black fabric storage, brown hanging fabric storage, etc. I would consider moving the hanging “shelves” to a different area or using the built-in cubes for sweater storage, or whatever you have there now. I would get all the same color fabric cube storage or baskets if you want to invest in that, and put your cleaners and other small things in those along the top shelf. I would also consider adding more shelves to the cubes, either diy or with some type of insert since I don’t see those being very useful without that, it seems like too much vertical space. I’m not a fan of the look of the hanging shoe bags but they’re useful so I wouldn’t get rid of it. Hanging from shelves will look neater than using hooks for colorful clothes, and also just in general for such a small space. Comments (17)Here's a floor plan and some inspiration pics. If the dimensions are off, I can adjust easily. The major problem with this room as so much going on and your eyes jumps up and down. There is no continuity. Your need to create some sort of order. Move the tv to the wall right of the fireplace (the outside common wall). It's important to line something up, like the bottom of the tv and the bottom or line of fireplace (not the mantel), and line up shelves with the same line. This way you can create a horizontal level. Paint the fireplace wall and the tv wall and the wall to the left of the fireplace the same color as the fireplace surround- an off white. Consider painting the staircase wall a color. See pics. This will make your room appear wider. Place the seating facing the tv and ignore the fireplace. It will blend in. Remove item near window and try chair in between windows with a side table/lamp.
Decor wise: Updated bedding, larger lamps and large art next to window. If you look on line at inspiration rooms, it will really help. Save every room you like and you’ll start to get a better sense/a direction.

10 months agoI would keep the layout as it. An ivory or white upholstered bed frame would look good with two black night stands. Add a matching black media Console under your TV that is larger than your current one. For bedding do white with a grey and black white and yellow pillows. Use yellow as an accent color through the room. This desgin will work very well with your curtains walls and carpet
