Copper pipes making popping/squeezing noises while hot water running

R J
last year

Hi All, whenever I turn on hot water I always hear some popping/squeezing noises coming from the copper pipes while the hot water is running thru them. I feel it's because those copper pipes are in the studs and when hot water is running thru them they expand which hits/rubs against the studs and therefore creates those popping/squeezing noises. No noises at all with cold water.

Anyone have/seen the same issue ? Am I diagnosing the issue properly ? How can I get rid of those noises without opening up my walls/ceilings and re-doing my copper pipes ? Thanks.
